Mister Jack
Unfortunately it looks like the anime is over and I've seen nothing indicating a second season so it might be one of those cases where you just have to pick up the manga after it ends to see what happens next. Waldorf and Statler
There's been no immediate indication of a second season because the manga just reached chapter 50 like a couple of days ago. The first season covered up until chapter 33. You do the math over about how many more chapter they need before they can expect to make a new season. Mister Jack
It would be several years at least. I have nothing against the anime, but I think they made it way too soon.
Mal
Indeed. The other 17 chapters pretty much covered 48 hours max. Second season confirmed to span only three or four days... kidding but if they do anything, I would suggest to OVA this portion. Each OVA episode will be over 30 minutes long that will come out every two months. Give it some nice animation and it should be worth the wait. They can even animate the SOL spinoff that comes out inbetween each OVA episode. It will all lead to the second season which will happen after some major cliffhanger that leads to some timeskip or some junk. And now for video juegos Homu time. WE'RE HOMU NOW. Waldorf and Statler
And Madoka is Charlie? Brilliant. Some spoilers so don't watch if you haven't. Watch if you have seen it or don't care. Edited October 16, 2013 by Waldorf And Statler
Mal
Dayman forever. Nightman can suck it. Mami is best mugeca. Also this might interest you: http://madokamagicausa.com/rebellion/ If not, you can wait like me... which is suffering. Like Nightman. Waldorf and Statler
Even if there is a showing near my area, this might be an anime film I'll have to skip. I have no one to go with (all my anime watching friends graduated already), and it'd be hard to not be embarassed for me to go watch a movie about magical girls. Sure it's a pretty dark story, but you try explaining that to the judging eyes of the normies.
Mal
Okay then, welcome to the Long Night my friend. DVD/Bluray due maybe 9 months down the line. So far, Kill la Kill has been great fun. Yes, I think the fanservice is overkill but it makes it up with other stuff... like Mako. The wonder of the universe.
Waldorf and Statler
The character of Mako, or whatever that girl's name is, is the epitome of trying too hard to be hilariously random. I'm not as big of a fan of the show as others online, but I'm enjoying it enough. The thing I like the most, besides dat sexy teacher, is how the armor has the same design as Gurren Lagann robot. Saturnine Tenshi
Hmm . . . Kill la Kill looks interesting and it's listed under seinen, so I think I'll give it a try.
Waldorf and Statler
If by seinen you mean female shonen.
Mal
The thing about Mako is she contrasts so much with her surroundings. She doesn't make sense. Even Ryuko doesn't quite know what to make of her. I think that is why she has such a following and has some theories about her. She personally won me over with this: Not to mention how damn durable she is. Episode 3 tomorrow and by what I've heard, this is an important episode. Things might speed up from here. Gotta go fast. --- Edit: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-10-16/jojo-bizarre-adventure-part-3-anime-confirmed More Jojo. More fabulousness. Saturnine Tenshi
If by seinen you mean female shonen. Don't say it. If you don't say it it can't be true.
Mister Jack
Is there a manga for Kill la Kill or just the anime? I'm intrigued by what I see, but I don't know if I want to start keeping up with another show on top of the four or five I'm already watching. Waldorf and Statler
Anime I can whole-heartedly recommend this season: - Kill La Kill for the uniqueness. - Kyousougiga TV for.. well everything. It has been fantastic. It's confusing right now with 2 episodes in but not unbearably so, just hasn't answered certain questions which I'm sure will keep the plot going. This is by far my biggest recommendation this season. Anime I might end up recommending if they continue how they're going - Strike the Blood- seems like it'll combine action with a bit of romance, similar to Toaru Majutsu No Index. It has me the most pumped out of all the ones so far since it was the surprise of the season. - Golden Time- A slice of life romance set in college. That's already groundbreaking as it is. Also the creator of Toradora so it should have some prestige to its name as well. - Outbreak Company- harem about a guy that goes to a fantasy universe to.. sell anime/otaku shit. The premise sounds bad, but after the second episode and description it seems like he might be dealing with racism, war and other political stuff in this cutesy world. Sounds promising. - Log Horizon: SAO without the melodrama and very MMO styled. So far the consensus in other sites I talk anime with people is that it's nothing special but enjoyable. Like chips or popcorn. Those are my anime so far. Everything else I might be watching this season is either meh or bad. And while Pupa hasn't come out yet, the fucking teaser trailer fucking terrified me.
Mal
A good deal of people are waiting for Pupa, including me. Just the promo image is intriguing enough. I haven't seen the teaser. I think I'll not so to remain surprised. Also, MJ, anime only. The thing is with KlK, this might be something that would be far more enjoyable if enjoyed while it is coming out. If you manage to drop anything, I suggest picking it up. Its a nice ride and while the fandom can be cancerous at time, they're a generally fun bunch. Now this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/225692543/References.html References for Kill la Kill so far.
Waldorf and Statler
Samurai Flamenco seems to be steering to a completely different territory that I thought it was going to, and as of right now I think it has been very misleading to fans of the talent by making it seem it was an action show. It's slice of life. The posters, the teasers, everything made it seem like something it wasn't. It's by no means bad, but with shows like these where I'm not interested that much in the plot nor characters the thing that could carry me watching is the animation, and it isn't anything to write home about here. I'm willing to give it 2 more episodes past the 3 episode rule, but they better include something to draw me in by then.
Mal
Kill la Kill volume one is up for preorder. Japan slightly redeemed themselves of their shit taste and thus If I wasn't broke and knew how to preorder from Japan... which would cost about $70... I would get it. I lost my way. Shamfrul dispray. While I am on KlK... This sort of shit should be sparse and hopefully will be fixed come bluray time. In other news... in 2014, Robot Girl Z may be my guilty pleasure. The teaser that came out not too long ago was alright and then we have this girl...
Alex Heat
I finally got around to watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (having only the basic knowledge of everything outside of Stardust Crusaders). My god, it's so good. Such fabulous! Much sparkles. dio brando
Waldorf and Statler
First Jojo is ok, but I didn't like how serious they tried to make the story and how much of an overpowered shonen he was. Second Jojo is great though. Hilarious too.
Alex Heat
Yeah, it seemed like Jonathan pulled a lot of bullshit out of his ass, but I guess I can forgive it since it was the very first arc.
staySICK
so, was Blood Lad only 10 episodes? I was enjoying that.
Waldorf and Statler
yep. Only 10 episodes and I have no idea if it'll ever get another season. It was pretty standard shonen though.
staySICK
standard but funny, parody shonen.
Waldorf and Statler
But a shonen nonetheless. In fact the only one I can remember liking recently, and I'm not even sure if it can be considered that but assuming it is since it's in Shonen Jump, it's Gintama.
