I was looking through the recent additions on Crunchyroll last night and noticed they added a few more Funimation shows I was hoping for, so I finally caved and resubbed. I really wish there was a better way to find out about these. Like a fucking newsletter or something. Their news feed section is cluttered with so much irrelevant bullshit that it's essentially useless to me. They really need a better way to see a list of all recently added shows and nothing else.

Also, with surprisingly good timing, I guess the finale of Attack on Titan Season 2 just came out and they announced Season 3 for 2018 at the end. That's pretty cool because I remember hearing that S2 was gonna be the last one and would have its own anime-original conclusion, which is always such a terrible fucking idea as far as I'm concerned. Now I just need an announcement for Vento Aureo already. I need JoJo back in my life, damnit!

I keep up with it, but it has taken an odd turn. One that so far hasn't quite unfolded to give us a proper focal point of the recent revelation. I'm being vague there because quite a bit has dropped and there's a dynamic shift in our current cast as well as new characters.

All I can say is that it's focusing on the political stuff once more, and it isn't necessarily a bad thing, but what's new is just odd to comprehend.

Lol I appreciate you keeping it vague but you're actually making it sound kind of interesting. I'm assuming this is way further than Season 2 could possibly reach? It's been so long that I think I'll rewatch it from the beginning once I get around to it.

In other news, I just watched the first 3 episodes of My Hero Academia. It's pretty good so far, although it's about to start the typical "exam arc" any battle shonen series is seemingly required by law to have and I'm kinda dreading how the pacing is going to be. If it turns into a 3+ episodes thing, that's going to eat into a good chunk of the season. It might seem like an odd thing to complain about but it's kinda like when I was watching the first season of Attack on Titan and reached the Battle of Trost. It's a great arc but that's when I realized things were moving way too slowly for the show to reach any kind of satisfying resolution or reveal within the limited amount of episodes available. It's just something that bugs me a little with these shows sometimes.

Exam arc?

Like his entrance exam to get into U.A.? If you've already watched the first three, you've only got one more until you move onto the next arc. There's quite a few arcs that Season 1 covers, though Season 2 gets more of the manga chapters covered with episodes.

EDIT: Personally, I enjoy MHA over Attack on Titan. Probably because MHA is so inspirational and it's great to see the characters grow. It's not even in a cheesy Naruto way, and honestly, MHA is a league above shonen. Though, I guess with the abundance of attractive female heroes, it roots it back to shonen.

Little Witch Academia is over and with that a hole in my heart appeared. Studio Trigger had fun making this series and I had fun watching it from the original Mirai project, to the Kickstarter and now the TV series. I believe in this series (to the tune of $300 for Kickstarter and now the BDs) and it hasn't let me down yet. Yes, the series has some issues like introducing things to only let it hang but the characters makes up for it. Akko for best baka, Ursula-sensei for best teacher, Sucy for being Sucy and much much more. Oh yeah, Diana is best girl.

Hoping for a new OVA or series in the future. This is the kind of series I'd show to my niece.

Aww fuck, I finished My Hero Academia season 1 last night and I'm only now realizing that season 2 isn't over yet. I assumed it would be the same length but it's 25 eps. Guess I'll hold off for a few months before watching it... -__-

Gotta find something else to watch for now, I guess. They added so much stuff since the last time I checked that I'm honestly not sure where to even begin. A lot of series I was hoping would be added actually were.

Lol. It's pretty good. I like the superhero theme and having both All Might and Deku being so limited in how they can use their abilities feels like a very fresh and interesting take on the shonen formula to me. It's obviously good enough for me to want to keep watching but I feel like it hasn't had that "holy shit!" moment yet. You know, that moment when a show like this goes from good to amazing, like the Arlong or Chunin Exam arcs. Though, that's to be expected with such a short season.
