Now onto Cowboy Bebop. One of those seminal shows that's been on my list for a while. I believe it's getting a live action production soonish.

So far I'm about 4 episodes in or so, it's defo a bit of an old style show of "bounty of the week", very little (so far) interconnecting material to keep the momentum and hungry for more. Like it feels it would easily slip in some kind of conspiracy thing (and maybe it will). Spike is all over the place too; sometimes 'heart of gold' type, other times an uncaring bastard type, frequently dumb (trying to crack open a virus vial) while at times uncannily prophetic/insightful/intuitive (like slipping virus vial into the womans pocket).

The general feel of the world at large though reminds me of The Expanse, so that's cool.

I never watched it when it was current, so I finally got around to The Devil Is a Part-Timer. Again, I wish people would have explained this better to me because the impression I got was that a demon lord was banished to Earth and forced to work at McDonald's MgRonald's. Instead, Satan and his trusted right-hand Alciel willingly flee to Earth and have to make a life for themselves until they can gather enough magic and return to Ente Isla. They aren't the only residents of their world however and so begins a series of comedy and action with some almost too real slice-of-life moments.

I mean, in just the first episode Satan is tempted to use his limited magic reserves to cook some french fries after the fryer breaks down. If he doesn't, then the location won't be #1 in sales!

Been kinda meh on video games the past few days. No idea what to play next or what I even want to play. So I used that as an excuse to binge watch some anime. I'm paying for Crunchyroll so I might as well use it once in a while.

Anyway, I finally got around to checking out The Promised Neverland. I've been curious ever since hearing really good things about the manga. It wasn't quite the nail-biting thriller I was expecting but it's pretty good. It was more on the drama side of things than I would've liked, though. Probably didn't help that in the last few eps said drama mostly hinged on a fake out that I 100% did not fall for lol. I really like where the season ended, though. Leaves things wide open to go basically anywhere next.

Started Demon Slayer next. I hadn't really heard anything about it but I've been seeing that boar-headed dude popping up everywhere the past few days and got really curious. Only 2 episodes in but it already seems very my shit. Starting to get high expectations for this one.

There are some naysayers, but that has been a constant in the anime community since forever. Demon Slayer has been my #2 this season and last. Tanjiro is such an amazing protagonist. He's both skilled and compassionate, even to his fallen foes. He recognizes the pain behind their very inception as they too were once human. Nezuko is cute, but boy howdy does she have a following now.

Not too into the top brass of the Demon Slayer Corp yet. Maybe some of them will grow on me, but they strike me as pompous asses. Well, except for Tomioka.

Yeah, like 3 episodes in I realized that the weeklong wait just wasn't doing it for me and decided to wait until it was over. Then it ended and I just kinda forgot about it lol.

I haven't even finished Demon Slayer, which I started like a month ago. Or shit, make that two months ago according to my post above. I can't stick with a show to save my life these days. The last one I managed to binge until I ran out of episodes was The Good Place and it was the first one in a while.

Finally watching Jojo makes Dio Brando all the more interesting and perplexing. Dio first shows up with Jonathan Joestar but I know Dio eventually fight Jotaro Joestar with a modern-ish compactor roller (WRRRYYYYY) and of course stands so Dio at some point just have a massive power level spike.

Jojo for sure have some pretty distinct power levels. It's not like more of the same.

What the FUCK? ?

Bizarre. It's bizarre.

Spoiler

Considering all that has happened, all I know Kars will come back with aliens. Then probably be squashed like Freeza.

Anyhow! Onwards to Stardust Crusaders. I think I'll need some way other than Netflix to watch it.

Speaking of Netflix, it has some censors. Mostly gore and the few Nazi salutes.

@Mister Jack

I was watching it subbed. Honestly, the official subs seems off from some things that the characters say, frequently during times when they use English since you know, I can hear words that's not in the subtitles... But I guess the subtitles are adequate?

Anyhow, putting Jojo on hold a bit until I get off my ass and get my Steam Link setup again so I can watch Stardust Crusaders on my living room TV from my computer. I gave Plex a shot but it confounding me so I'm going with what works.

In the meantime, time for me to check out Carole & Tuesday. It has been a long time since I have been back on this Mars... Or at least it should be the same Mars as Cowboy Bebob. I heard good things about this show so, why not? It's on Netflix and it's ready to watch.

Stardust Crusaders is finished. Overall this was better in a lot of ways but I think I prefer Battle Tendency more just because of Joseph. Jotaro is a fine addition to the Joestars but Joseph is just too hard to beat. Hell, Part 3 grew Joseph's character some more which made him stronger. Part 2 also has Lisa Lisa which Part 3 lacks someone like her (I like badass women...). On to Part 4... which is the point I have no history with. Only recent Jojo thing I know is a meme "Oh, you're approaching me?". I don't even know the characters in them and what's the whole deal is. Hell, how do you grow after Part 3? I'm absolutely intrigue how Jojo got up to Part 8. How does it continue for 30+ years!?

Gonna have to agree on Part 4 being the best (although I still haven't watched Part 5). It starts out "only" really good but keeps getting better and better as the pieces slowly fall into place and you start to see how they all fit together. By the halfway point it was already my favorite part and the last few episodes are some of the most tense bullshit I've seen in any anime not called Monster.
