Gigawings
I love anime but I miss lots of new animes, I have to catch up. But my favourites are classic animes Like Eva, Captain Taylor, UC Gundams, Slayers and many more. The last movie I watched is Satoshi Kon's Paprika, too bad he died before he can finish his new movie.
WTF
The Oreimo game isn't that bad from what my friend's played of it and it did OK during the week of release about 88.something K as per media create. It's more of a cross between visual novel and dating sim type of mechanics though is what I hear so in that way it'll be different from the anime. However the preorder bonuses were a bit much someone said. Dengeki had a decent prerelease report --> http://news.dengeki....000/338/338635/ It's one game I'm wondering if I should import same as the new Haruhi game which continues the story after the disappearance (not a major fan of the series, my wife was at some point but I'd like to see how it ends up) which releases this month iirc. Pirandello
I heard there was a yandere Ayase ending.
Mal
So, in the internet pet peeved thread, I got reminded of this gem, one of my favorites...
SomTervo
In general, I can't really stand anime or manga. The tropes and cliches that pervade every moment of every single one tire me, I was tired of them years ago. There are still, however, some classic's I'll never tire of. Which is quite a huge contrast, but hey. Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis (a bit), Studio Ghibli films (save Earthsea), Full Metal Alchemist. Maybe a couple of others, including manga, I can't recall.
Mal
I finally got started with Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. Like what I'm seeing so far. It got a nice attitude and style. Its not your moe moe animu. --- Also, just now I spoiled Bleach for myself. All I am thinking right now is... when will Ichigo fight God next? Saturnine Tenshi
The art style of Panty and Stocking did the opposite for me. And I sort of felt like it was trying too hard. I'm currently watching: The World God Only Knows Shinryaku! Ika Musume Puella Madoka Magica Edit: Forgot to add Hanasaku Iroha to the list. I believe the last series I finished was OreImo. Absolutely loved that one. I tend to flitter about between anime. Edited April 10, 2011 by Saturnine Tenshi
MasterDex
Anyone see the first eipsode of the new Gintama series? Watched it yesterday, great episode, very funny.
Pirandello
I think everything new coming out sucks until TWGOK season 2 gets released on the 12th, so I'm going back and watching the rest of Katanagatari while I'm waiting.
MasterDex
Deadman Wonderland anime starts in like a week. I read the manga a couple of years ago and it was great, never got around to finishing it though. It's definitely worth checking out the first eipsode of it when it arrives. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ke5t5tFgitY
P4: Gritty Reboot
The only anime I've ever watched is Pokemon. My wife was a big Inuyasha fan back when she was younger, so we've been watching those on Netflix now and they're pretty entertaining. Girls you would never think had an interest in anime, well, they liked InuYasha. I bet what probably helped was that Kagome had power over Inuyasha whenever he acted up, "Sit, boy!" Still, it actually was entertaining. I contribute that to the demons, and (personally) Miroku. Dude was a bona fide ass-man.

Funny that you say that; we watched the first 10 episodes over the weekend and came to the conclusion that Stephanie Meyer "heavily borrowed" from the show for Twilight. MasterDex
Let's hope it turns out better than Persona -Trinity Soul-. Oh man! Don't remind me! What a boring show. I was all like "Awesome! Persona anime!" then it arrived and it was rubbish...but it wasn't clear that it was rubbish and I kept watching but it didn't change. Such a shame. I'm hoping it'll be better because it's literally an adaption and not a prequel/sequel/side story/whatever.

excel_excel
My girlfriend's totally into Bleach now, I haven't told her the Bount arc isn't part of the original storyline but she seems to be really enjoying it. In fact I think she likes the faster pace of these episodes. Her favourite character was Chad but now its switched to Renji, who is pretty funny in the Bount arc. She likes Ichigo but calls him a nuisance as well
King Jimmeh
The Bount arc is watchable (though I have no desire to own it on DVD). The later filler, and one-off fillers complete kill the pacing of the series though, which even in canon parts is slow. I found watching it as new releases came out that it would get to a good part... and then go in filler arcs. Most annoying thing ever. I'd rather have just had seasonal breaks. I haven't watched it since the end of the last arc now though.

Oh and if I didn't mention it already, Gintama is back with a fifth season. If you haven't seen the series before, I highly, highly, highly recommend checking it out. The entire series (202 episodes) is available for streaming free on Crunchyroll.
Kovach_
Gintama is like the best [comedy] anime ever and if you don't like it you suck. FACT. Edited April 12, 2011 by Kovach_
MasterDex
Gintama is like the best [comedy] anime ever and if you don't like it you suck. FACT. I concur. So I just finished reading volume 27 of the Berserk manga (finally! It only took me like 2 years to get around to it!) and just as I went searching for the rest of the volumes released so far, I come across great news that I completely missed out on at the end of last year. The Berserk anime is coming back and it'll be back this year, beginning with a feature-length theatrical release (which I assume will probably cover the same ground the original anime covered) and continue with a series with the intention of continuing through until the end. I can only hope the show isn't toned down or censored (At least too heavily) as the gore, brutality and graphic imagery is part of the story. ANN News Release Now, back to pilfering the manga.
