I never heard anything about it before the game was already out and I'm starting to feel like it should be illegal to withhold that kind of information if that's what was going on. It seems insanely divisive in some corners, but for me it's far overtaking Arkham Asylum for being the Bat-game. Story seems pretty great too, except for the Arkham Knight, who ranges from okay to really shit. It's also totally obvious who he is. And I haven't even found out who he is yet. Yeah, same here. I think I got spoiled online but it's kinda hard to tell for sure because I've been saying the same thing since the initial reveal. Keep in mind I still haven't had in-game confirmation since I've put the game on hold until it gets patched, but... Reveal hidden contents not sure if you're aware but Red Hood has a story DLC that's exclusive to some retailer. If it's anything like the Harley Quinn one, it'll take you all of 20mins to beat, will be massively half-assed and kinda fucking boring. In other words, I believe that was a blatant red herring. From the initial reveal, plenty of people went "Yeah, that's probably Jason Todd." So when they revealed story DLC for Red Hood, to me that just kinda seemed like a desperate "No, the Arkham Knight is totally not Jason Todd. See? Here's a Red Hood DLC!" I can't believe some people actually instantly fell for it. Also, for something a little more convincing (and probably actually spoilerish in this case) Reveal hidden contents I've been replaying Trails in the Sky this week and there's very little in the way of voice acting, just battle grunts and victory quotes. But one of the characters kinda sounded like Troy Baker and the game was recorded well before he blew up, so I thought it was possible. So, I went on IMDB to see if he had a credit for the game and looking at his page I couldn't help but notice that he was credited as voicing Jason Todd in Arkham Knight. So, first off, it's incredibly unlikely they'd hire someone like Troy Baker just for a small DLC pack. Like, straight up makes no sense. But more importantly, even through the voice module thing he has going on, I recognized Troy Baker pretty much instantly the first time the Arkham Knight said something. So, yeah... there it is. That still leaves the possibility they already had Troy and went "Yeah, while we have you, can you do this small DLC thing as well?", though. After all, VAs often play multiple parts, a main one and multiple smaller ones like thugs and whatnot. But personally, I'm pretty sure that's Jason Todd at this point. Reveal hidden contents I noticed Arkham Knight refers to Batman as "old man", which could be nothing but seems pretty deliberate. Certainly seems in character with Damian. There's some weird story strand introduced when it puts you in control of Gordon, the one with Joker's infected blood and that five packs were missed, but you don't see the fifth person yet. Maybe that's resolved elsewhere, but since it's set before the timeline of the game, I figured maybe whoever that person is might turn out to be AK. He would've been a kid during his time as Robin and would probably see Bruce as a father figure. I never really considered Damian because there's been basically no setup for him in the Arkhamverse (at least as far as I'm aware), but Talia was in the last game, I guess. And there's been a few offhand references to her, so who knows. As for the last patient, I was wondering if maybe that wasn't Bats himself? It's been a while since I played through the story but wasn't he also infected by Joker in AC? There's also something else that I think might support this but I'm not sure if you've heard that part yet so I won't say anything. Damnit, now I really want to play. It's actually decently playable on my rig. Maybe I'll just finish this first playthrough and leave the achievement and completion stuff for later... I imagine it's probably a combination of both but yeah, I'm with you that the fifth guy is Bats. I'm not sure if it's been confirmed where I am but it seems to be implied that what Robin is working on that Bats insists "this is more important" is the cure for these people. And that's pretty much how Batman would handle that. Have someone work on it but without telling them a damn thing or why it's so urgent. Same as FLD, I figured the Joker stuff was toxin-related rather than blood transfusion, but I guess that explains the more long-term impact. So, yeah, I knew how Batman got Joker's blood in him, I had just figured he was in the clear and never really considered him the fifth is all. I'm a little concerned that there's too much focus on it, and I'm only troubled by that because it's kinda difficult to control half the time. The car itself is still fun to drive so the focus on it hardly ruins the game for me, I just feel like it goes on a little too long sometimes. I've only been playing in short stretches (which I think suits it better) so everything's varied. Though, I think some of the "defend the bomb" stuff gets a little tedious when you're shooting 20+ tanks in a go and I am worried about this stealth stuff mentioned later on. I do like how it's implemented in the story moments though (Surprise! Remote control!), and you feel like a badass just driving it around.
