CorgiShinobi
If it's just a challenge map character, I don't think you'll miss out too much if you don't pre-order. Still, it doesn't hurt to put down a few bucks and rake in the benefits.
WTF
He looks more like Damien Wayne rather than Tim Drake. However there's a Red Robin Costume as well. Damien Wayne has shorter hair, is quite short, looks thuggish, wears a hoodie and is a less cheerful character. Plus it's UE3 with the exception of Alice we know how hair goes in that engine. CorgiShinobi
Yeah, I really didn't care for Harley's design in the first, but in Arkham City...
staySICK
Oh here's something that you may or may not find appealing. I mean we all knew Robin was appearing in the game. But we weren't sure which Robin (considering this is still Diniverse and Dick's Nightwing in it already). It's confirmed it's definitely Tim Drake and here's the image. However it does seem like it's an exclusive preorder character for the challenge maps wjhich is a bit odd. As for the red robin costume I thought that would be obvious since Drake is currently Red Robin. Has this officially been confirmed? Hrm... best buy's website shows nothing, but there is a thread in the arkham city forums announcing robin and its started by a community manager. Still, I say the image released looks like a photoshop of Starkiller made to look like Robin. Wasn't there a promo picture of Starkiller for STFU2 in that pose with two / double lightsaber? I mean it just looks so... eurgh. And personally, I prefer the choice of Tim Drake Robin.

I'd love to see them bring Damien into the Arkham games, I doubt they'd go quite that up to date with the comics though (Red Robin skin notwithstanding). To be honest it's just nice to see characters as far into Batman's chronology as Tim Drake (even if they are just for challenge maps (oh right, pre-order only as well )) seeing as Hollywood seems unlikely to ever make it past the Dick as Robin stage of Batman's career. Harley's costume is nice, but the contrast between her white face and the rest of her exposed flesh throws me off a little when I look at her. CorgiShinobi
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/catwoman-gameplay-batman-arkham/717026 From this alone I can already tell Arkham City is going to be miles above Arkham Asylum, and that game was really great to begin with. Mr W Phallus
There's something about the animations - especially the Batman can fly ones - that just isn't sitting right with me at the moment. :/ Hopefully it'll stop bothering me when I'm actually the one in control. Other than that, the dialogue seems spot on; just the right amount of cheese and cliché.
excel_excel
DAT FOOTAGE. Ohh man. Looks so awesome. Cutscenes look more polished too!
toxicitizen
Oh man, I'm tempted but hesitant to watch that new footage. Normally I'd be all over this, but Chewie kinda struck a chord with me the other day with his "not keeping up with games" thread. I very much want this game to surprise me. Also, the impending release makes it all the more tempting to go back and try to finally get those last few trophies I'm missing for Arkham Asylum's platinum. :/ And it's really only one trophy that I'm stuck on As soon as I get the one for the earning gold medals on all the expert combat challenges (I only have like 2-3 left to beat), the 100% Completion one should kick in right after, and then the platinum... Hot Heart
The exploring stuff looks pretty cool. And I would've been pleased either way but the combat looks even better than before! One bit really bugged me though: 'Now that they're all taken care of, it's time to get what I came for out of that safe' Gee, what a helpful and natural-sounding piece of dialogue, I'm sure players really needed that hint too! Yeh some of the Batman/Alfred conversation was worse though. 'Alfred I took an encryption key from a tiger guard, I'm going to hack into their communications' because if Alfred wasn't kept up to date with that vital piece of information, everything would go to shit. If it's not obvious what you need to do they should at least have Batman talk to himself (since we are in comic book territory) or just have the game do it for you. It's not like the player gains anything by manually getting out the gadget themselves. Needless to say I'm just nitpicking here.
CorgiShinobi
I dunno, I kinda like the characters talking out loud rather than there being silence and a line of white text describing your next action. (Anything to hear all the BTAS voices. )
Faiblesse Des Sens
I liked the first one enough to not bother with trailers for this. I'll wait and be surprised.

WTF
Wallpaper size for many. I saw this on my commute home. fun. Man my friend at Rocksteady is having a nice gig. I still remember when they were looking for more people to fill spots while developing Arkham Asylum (friend got in with relative ease). Most previewers thought the game would be rubbish at that time. Glad they proved them wrong for many reasons.
WTF
is inevitable. I hear that the fact that there would be DLC episodes to the game has been leaked though not everything is finalised on that as yet.
CorgiShinobi
Penguin Trailer Watch to the end for a special surprise!
deanb
This one is maybe going to have a few too many. Though I guess bigger game it can fit them all in. Just hope it meshes together well.
Mr W Phallus
Urgh, the Penguin's voice. Apart from the accent it isn't high pitched enough. @Dean: The Hush story arc managed to cram a lot of the Rogue's gallery into it and get away with it, so it's not impossible. If the game is long enough, and each villain is involved in the overall story arc in some way it should work.
SomTervo
I'm going to leave the Penguin's trailer I think. After watching that 'huge gameplay blowout' and the Riddler stuff, and some pretty enlightening interviews with devs, I think I've had my share of info and I'm going to wait for the full game. A small touch that I'm really liking is how they've actually un-cartoon'd a lot of the little touches. The whole interface seems much cleaner now. And, more importantly, when Batman slams thugs, there's no longer a bizarre reality-warp where the collision took place and a cartoony 'crack'. Now there's just a puff of dust and a dull thud (unless he's breaking bones).
Thursday Next
Haha. Penguin is a cross between Bob Hoskins and Cartman doing his English (lil scheme) accent.
Hot Heart
Some alternative skins revealed. http://arkhamcity.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4001 Middle one looks kinda cool and the right one looks kinda freaky.
Thursday Next
Hahaha. Animated one is weird. I wonder if he'll pop out of the background as much as I think he will? It'd be like a Who Framed Roger Rabbit version of Batman.
