BrainHurtBoy...2
PC, then PS3. Used to have a 360, but broke, I don't see any reason to fix it. PCs are incredible, though. I didn't know what I was missing.

Johnny
Well, personally I'd say Planescape: Torment but that's really not a game for everybody. I think the closest thing to a "game for everyone" I've played is Assassin's Creed 2. But I'm probably biased because I'm currently playing through it. In any case, that's my answer.

HotChops
Day 12 I don't know anymore. I ask myself this question all the time. I've frequently looked for that "Citizen Kane of gaming" that can reach nearly everyone and make almost anyone who plays it respect gaming as a legitimate entertainment medium. I used to think it was Mass Effect (the first one,) now I think it's Heavy Rain -- which is ironic considering I haven't actually played it. But the truth is that I don't believe there is or ever will be one game that appeals to almost everyone. For starters, there are simply too many different ideas about what gaming ideally is. I chose Mass Effect and Heavy Rain because they are more like interactive films than challenge-based tests of skill. However, not everyone wants that in a game. Generally, I stick to my answers. Mass Effect and Heavy Rain provide deep stories, strong emotional experiences and characters that are not easily forgotten. Almost every game could use a little more of that.
Mr W Phallus
Any 2D Mario, any 3D Mario Kart (against other people) and Pacman. And every kid should play Pokémon, too.
excel_excel
Super Mario Bros. Also Metroid Prime. Edited March 27, 2011 by excel_excel
SanaEquiesterer
Yeah, I'm just going to say a 2D Mario as well.
arbitarty
Day 11: Currently 360 occupies most of my time. Up until 3 years ago I was almost violently anti-xbox. "It's not a console" i would say "Its just a PC in a small box, where is its heart". It all changed when I was essentially given one. After playing PC games since PC games have been around, It was a big PC person, and still am. I would say at heart, PC. In practise 360. Day 12: The Neverhood. I have a feeling a lot of my answers are going to be "The Neverhood"
Nexus
Day 13 - A game you've played more than five times? Fire Emblem 7 and 8, Final Fantasy 8 and 9, most of the sport games I've ever owned. (I'm taking this to mean either finished or at least got most of the way through)
deanb
Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X, Crash Bandicoot, Pokemon TCG. Defense Grid, Though I wish I shouldn't have to. Stupid lack of Steam Cloud. There's plenty of campaign-less games I've played through many times like Civ IV, Sins, Caesar 3, etc.
Cyber Rat
Sonic 1, Sonic 1 SMS, Sonic 2, Sonic 3&K, Super Mario World, Super Mario Bros, Morrowind (don't get me started), Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Shinobi 1 and 3, Ghostbusters (SMS), Silent Hill 2, Chrono Trigger (oh god, the endings...), Chrono Cross, Comix Zone, Crash Bandicoot 1-3, Guilty Gear XX... Mr W Phallus
I honestly can't think of any game I've played through more than 3 times.
TheFlyingGerbil
... Day 12: The Neverhood. I have a feeling a lot of my answers are going to be "The Neverhood" That game is £200! I can't answer today's question as I've never completed a game more than once I have enough of a gaming backlog without replaying stuff. I'm the same with books and films too. Kovach_
I dislike replaying the same thing over and over again if it's always going to be the same game. I do replay games that offer choice. I can't even remember the number of times i played Fallout 1 and 2.
excel_excel
God that's a hard one to remember....Super Mario Bros (also the GBC version ), Duck Hunt, Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario 64...I THINK...I mean 5 times is a lot for me. SanaEquiesterer
I grew up with Loom and Monkey Island, so I've lost count of how many times I've beat them. Even though my favourite genre is RPGs, I've only ever beat Chrono Trigger two, maybe three times, and FFVII twice.

deanb
You know considering RPG's tend to be dozens of hours long, and FPS games considerably less than that, is it just the make-up of forum members or is there something weird going on for us mostly having RPG's in our "played multiple times"
