Actually, while it's officially a prequel, the continuity with the other films is pretty fucked up. The director told the screenwriters to not be hampered by the three X-Men movies too much and just roll with new things, so some people are considering First Class to be a 'mini-reboot'.

I was just about to post that. You read Slashfilm by any chance?

Depends on what yoiu write. If you're going for fiction, the process the OP described works pretty well. When I write non-fiction, I list out a bunch of events or memories and I sequence them in a way movie storyboards are done.

You mean the Pokemon arm one? I'm just used to Kotaku putting up stuff like that now.

I sorta like the web shooters. More believable than semen coming out of Toby Maguire's wrist.

Bleach is starting to pick up again.

It's mixed for me. ME2 is better than ME1 due to it's action-oriented gameplay, but I love DA:O due to it being not-so much action oriented and focusing more on being a true RPG (I like no voice in the dialogues. It's called role-playing. Imagine a voice in your head). Thus, I like the changed from ME1 to ME2. I dislike the supposed change from DA:O to DA2.

The Green Hornet, at its best, will be a decent campy action movie. I'm looking forward to it as well. However, Battle: Los Angeles is a large-scale war movie. In short, it's meant to be epic. If people are anything but shocked in the movie (Skyline had a wide range of emotional dialogs. It was shit), I'll be disappointed.

EVERYONE MUST WATCH THIS

8G will have been invented by then. A fast internet connection can do wonders.

Thus my lack of knowledge of those damned 'u's. Now as much as we can talk about language differences, I'm more intrigued by cultural differences. What would you say would be the main thing that differentiates Britons and American (or North Americans if the Canadians feel left out)? The 'you' in question is aimed at any Briton. Heck, any Aussie or Kiwi can join in (are there any on this board)?

I referred to the English accent, as to from, you know, England. It's not really a theory (nor made up by me either), it's pretty widespread knowledge that more than half residents of Britian (not just England, also Wales and Scotland) spoke rhotically then. That's not an American accent, it's just not as 'British' as widely portrayed from the 19th century onwards. The American accent, once you leave the eastern port cities, it changes dramatically, so yes, the 'American' accent has evolved. My main point was that neither one of the countries speak the original widely, and while I've never heard it myself, the native Cornwall accent shares distinct similarities to the Boston accent- both contain elements on rhotic and non-rhotic sounds. The 'ize' was derived from the Dutch or Germans. Dunno 'bout the dropping of the 'u'. However, in the mindset of Eddie Izzard, I can't stand tracing the differences myself. Edit: Bottom line is, a drunk chap from Manchester would sound pretty posh to someone 250 years ago in the same exact location.

Wait, so a positive review has no replies?! This movie was a godsend! And actually, Daft Punk composed the entire soundtrack. Read. SOUNDTRACK. Not and album or an EP. They even composed adagios and overtures. This scene was one of the best transitions/time jump in any recent movie, much less action movie. The score made it epic. I was sitting in the middle of the theater (IMAX) and the surround sound seriously had be feeling I was on an adrenaline rush. For this, the best was when the camera panned to the title, which would be the 0:46-0:47 mark here. It was pretty amazing. For the movie itself, this is the run-down. The script was clearly written for a PG-13 movie, yet Disney demanded it be a PG movie, so the kiddies could watch it. As a result, some elements suffered due to that decision. Still, did no one spot the historical allusions? (Spoilers) Clu purging the ISOs like Stalin/Hitler? His speech a recreation of Hitler's speech to the stormtroopers? No one saw the religious themes? With Kevin Flynn constantly referred to as the Creator and Sam Fylnn referred to as the Son of Flynn? Old Man God and Jesus? Did anyone else catch how the film teased things like a revolution in the Grid and the years of massive history during Kevin Flynn's imprisonment? Someone clearly wrote out an extended universe for this thing, and Disney is using this film as a stepping stone to reboot the franchise. The film had a lot of untapped potential, and this is one of the rare time in which I support to extension/further creation of a franchise, as the Tron universe can be pretty damn great if done well. Olivia Wilde was hot and cute. The posters don't do her justice compared to motion.

I once had one booger flavored. Tasted like it as well.

You mean the puffed parts or the not-fully popped parts?

I finished a game of Victoria 2 and Mount & Blade Warband on the same day (yesterday). Also finally finished WiC:SovAssault on Very Hard, achieving all the medals (today). That's real completion there. Not some pansy run-through on Normal.

Games that you hate that everyone else seems to like

That happened to me for ME1. ME2 was a lot better, but I never tried ME1 again. I just read ME-wiki for all the details. I seriously just went sprinting from cover to cover boomsticking people. I usually love RPGs, and sci-fi RPGs are one of the best, but ME1 felt so... plasticky. -
Helium-3 is a big reason for mining on the moon, and that's likely in 50 years as we look for alternative energy sources. The whole argument of how we should take care of problems here first is moot, because if we did, humanity won't be goin' anywhere near Mars for the next few centuries. Mars is a far stretch in the next few years, but manned missions to the moon should definitely be invested in. Exploring the stars is what once drove humankind. For now, all the funds NASA has is actually a reduced amount since the end of 2008, and the Great Recession won't last more than another 5 years. Heck, if somebody doesn't get a human to land on Mars before 2050, I'll be sorely disappointed, because that would mean that humanity is still bitchin' around here. Space exploration does not take a massive amount of funding, and it's not that big on a national deficit at all. Wars on Earth with continue, poverty in third world countries will continue, and it's not like space exploration will obstruct progress in those fields. Heck, it can even benefit them. So I say, fuckin' go for Mars. Once the world economy is on a stable boom.

Halo's been feeling old since it's virtually been the same scenario in the virtually the same period. Yes, Halo Wars was an exception and yes, Halo Reach was set before the trilogy, but they didn't want to explore too much out of what made them successful. Reach was the most experimental Bungie went with Halo, and they did a good job making it feel new yet still feel like Halo. The Forerunners, depending on how that rolls out, could be great, or it could be the franchise-ender.

Actually, thank Microsoft for buying out Halo way back for that.

See, they should have just made Homefront with the Chinese instead of the North Koreans invading. Piss of the Chinese? Like anyone cares now. We have to make the games with them being villains now before they're a total superpower!

Paradox Interactive still makes good profit. If only they released less buggy games. Fuckin' Hearts of Iron 3.
