  1. I had the most dooziest of V'weeks possible and the story is still on-going. It has pretty much everything a fricking urban story has drama, romance, missed connection, an antagonist, a robber, a drunken night... and it's not over yet because I might have a chance to find this girl. Only in London... Yeah it officially didn't happen on Valentine's Day but yeah this one hellof a week.

    Wii U

Their branding department needs to be fired. You can forgive the 3DS but the WiiU as well. The names are definitely not different enough for consumers to understand the difference. Repeated mistakes obviously mean it's whoever is in charge of internal branding. You don't need numbers, you could just call it the SuperWii or something like that (though SuperWii XD). Regardless I own one and all i really use it for is the occasional doodling. But I wanted to own the platform and I do and I don't regret it. I know it's going to be abysmal support but I don't have a Wii anymore so it's fine by me. Problem that Nintendo misses is actually an important issue. Japan is the land of handhelds and the RoW is primarily a home console based world (or PC in some markets). The 3DS underperforming in the west is fine so long as it pulls incredible sales in Japan. On the other hand homeconsoles do better in the rest of the world than Japan, particularly these days so if the WiiU isn't performing well here then they need to make games that do well. I mean take a look the 3DS sold more than the PS3 in Japan last year (in a year that it's not doing bad) gives an indication where their market goes. PSP and DS did better than their counterparts on the home console space. Generally in the RoW it's the other way around and a home console doing handheld numbers isn't good. In fact it's downright awful. They need to strategize products appropriately. You don't have a catch all scenario these days. You need to identify markets and sell products appropriately. Yes the world is ready for a new console, despite the PC market and the WiiU failed to capitalise on it. There is a demand for something new in an economy that's convalescing - Nintendo just didn't deliver that product. I doubt they'll go the Sega way that soon but they'll be relegated to something a lot smaller at this rate.
  3. I'm skipping the hipster music video and posting the pure audio track
  4. VC was actually fairly easy. I think I finished it within 2 weeks. Basically I had 2 weeks off and no internet and I was taking a break from work or something like that. I remember finishing it without any struggle though I hated the DLC missions. I was just disappointed that there were no trophies because I managed to keep everyone alive and it was a nice maxed out ending with high ranks. I had a similar issue with Disgaea 3 where I didn't really feel rewarded for the time I put in. Honestly this was a lot easier than some of the GBA and SNES fire emblems, in terms of keeping people alive. I loved the game at the time. These days it feels like a lifetime ago. I didn't care much for the PSP title though.
  5. I still haven't seen a good movie since Amour last year :/ There's been plenty of yeahs and maybes but lots of ehhhs.
  6. It's present in Mellow Beats, Friends and Lovers. I wish Sora still made music.

I might just make a youtube page for Ofelia since eh I've the equipment and till I find someone interesting I have the time to give her more attention. She has become a lot more needy now that I'm the only one home (and my flatmate hasn't moved in as yet).
  8. Oh man Neptunia... I literally fell asleep playing it and managed to pretty much grind/complete about 30% of the game. It's really :/ However the sequels were marginally better.

Well Ofelia's something else in all honesty. I've pretty much trained her to squeak for treats. She's got uhh 3-4 names she responds to though I want to add 'feels' to the list for obvious reasons. lol if she was a boy I might have thought Salem but she's Ofelia after Pan's Labyrinth and he was Orpheus technically after Orpheus from Persona 3. She's incredibly sweet and very attached to me, which is why I ended up having her. Squeaks for treats (I'll video it sometime lol), plays fetch, acts like both a cat and a dog. I suppose Burmese/Bombays are like that. Her brother is a pure Bombay, I'm not entirely sure for her but then again Bombays are Burmese plus moggies
  10. I have had some exceptionally good roommates throughout my university years (with the exception of my first year when the guy would come into the room late at night drunk, take off his clothes, sit on the floor and start singing operatic numbers... How I wish phones back then had cameras because I would have so recorded and uploaded those). Generally outside of that my roommates were 1)the most friendly ear ever in terms of any and every relationship I've ever had. 2)the most bro-est of bros possible but in a good way 3)the most hottest girl I've never slept with, who is genuinely a sweet friend and kicks my behind at pool every single time. Of course her answer to life was the pool table and I've sorted out her numerous beaus and am happy she's happily married these days. 4)the worst business partner and the best drunk friend ever. Excellent person to socialise with, worst person to work with. Overall we're still good friends but i will not work with someone who needs to be drunk/high to get creative. 5)my dad for a few months who was actually quite helpful 6)a girl who insisted she cooks all the time, which basically led me to eventually becoming a cleanliness freak (I had it in me, but she pushed it). 7)a bunch of exes who were great roommates 8)my ex-wife 9)and now my cat and my current business partner. I'm generally the roommate who's almost never around and owns most of the electronic goods in the house and the one who serves as mediator and house counsellor. Though I generally prefer to avoid living/subletting to young couples due to drama.
  11. You know that feeling you get when you find something you really want but then realise it's not the most feasible at the moment because of circumstances. ugh. i hate that feeling.

I can't have the party sub AND the wedding cake. Now what am I going to do!?

I kind of know how that goes though. Until circumstances change, you're stuck at your current job. There's no real way to gauge how long you will be stuck in this situation, so you don't want to get too comfortable as things could change quickly and soon. If they do change soon, it will be easier to move on if you don't get attached to your current situation, but if things don't...

but if things don't change soon, you will be stuck in an awkward situation.

Well I have business commitments that I was planning on when I was still married. I don't really need that extreme level of security since it was basically because I was thinking of a family and such. I don't drop out of commitments. So I'll play my role for now. Once that's done (Which could take 2-3 years) I can sort something. I'm going to see if I can scrounge some free time to do more work.

  13. Have to agree with FDS. It's like going to a religious convention expecting to hear praises of Atheism.
  14. I think what blows about splitting up is kids and animals. I mean the last few days (before I'd given him up) I've had the boy(cat!) he just came up to me and sat next to me with his head resting on my lap. It felt sweet and awful at the same time.

wtf, i feel for you. I've been more cut up about my pets dying than relatives. @TME. Just WOW.

      WTF

I'll be fine. It's just weird to lose so much of your life. I hate the idea of building something up to lose it. It just feels like so much wasted potential. I never even wanted the pets in the first place -.- but having raised them and trained them I got attached to them. They're like dogs but also quite innocent.

Whoa Guns? lol Ethan that just made me laugh. I'm never going to fight about guns ever. Unless I had some sort of collector's item that was one of a kind.<...

  16. Soo Online dating and OKC. I'm curious about personal experiences if there's any. Dunno if this is threadworthy.

I met my current wife on OKC. We have been together since 2008. Married a few months ago.

I had many horrible experiences on there before I met her however.

Also tried PoF. Had worse experiences on it.

  17. You guys have not really shared bathrooms with different kinds of women have you? lol. Some are fun. But trust me. Not all women are the most neatest in terms of bathroom space . Yes they are clean and the house is tidy and stuff like that. But those are generalisations. Some are awesome. Some aren't. However since I've said I'm 32 most of the ones I'm getting are basically between 25 and 30. I think that's alright, hopefully they keep the place as nice as it is. I'm kind of hoping the one with a cat working in media likes the place cause 1)work related socialising and 2) if she's fairly social it'd be nice to interact with a new social group. I have nothing against male roommates, I'm just surprised that I'm getting more women than men. However there's one good point that the home usually smells great and they have much better smelling shower gel. Then again I use minty fresh shower gel, exfoliate often and meh okay I've been living with gfs and women for waaay too long that I've picked up on a lot of grooming habits. However the kitchen is what I'm worried about since i'm sort of messy there -.-
  18. hmm. I wonder if I'm going to be posting here soon. I'm going to be having flatmates soon (it's a big place and I don't want to keep paying the rent on my own plus I'd like company, new social circles and the like). This is going to be interesting since I've mostly lived with girlfriends and the wife since March 2000 (with a brief stint for 4 months with a friend in 2004). The only people who seem to be replying to my adverts seem to be women though. Is it because I have a huge kitchen or that it looks homey? Seriously though I'm having 5 viewings - all women (2 days since I put the advert). But the important thing is I really hope one of them chooses the place. The main reason I don't want to move out is because it's hard to find places in the city that let you have pets.
  19. If you like advance wars wouldn't you like FE and VC though they're not quite tabletop wargames like steel panther. There's a few but I can't remember them off the top of my head. Europa Universalis is sort of tabletop wargaming. I wouldn't really call crusader kings in that genre though. Not ridiculously complicated hmm that's going to be tough to recall. God it's been years since I played some of these games but there were a lot of them in the mid to late 90s. Etherlords isn't tabletop per se but had elements of that plus a trading card game it's on got. Warlords series began more like a wargame but progressed to RTS.
  20. Jotaro is part of Stardust Crusaders which is the third volume which has more stands and more poses but Joseph Joestar's volume is the more fabulous and amusing one with the whole pillarmen aspect. I mean technically pillarmen>vampires (since they do eat them). Yeah Malicious that's the old one , I hope that this is popular enough for them to get to Stardust Crusaders right now it's just Vol1 and Vol2. Vol2 is pretty sweet and much better paced than the first one though Dio is only in Vol1 and 3.
  21. So while people seem to be watching Psycho Pass (which seems to honestly be a slightly different variant of GITS 1st Gig has a very similar style including random episodes that give character backstories, there being a team and other aspects) and Robotics Notes, I'm curious if anyone else is watching the new Jojo series. Here's the second opening --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hf4Ybm8T288 Basically the first 9 eps is the first vol of the manga series: Phantom Blood and the animation isn't the best, plus lots of censorship but it's still quite enjoyable. However once it hits the second vol of the manga at Battle Tendency that's when it gets really good. I've no idea if it'll continue beyond the 25eps they've planned but it's definitely one of the more fun shows from fall.
