  1. And a couple more paintings. I wanted to practise how to paint skin and clothing and stuff. I used a reference for these. The first one is the model who did motioncap for Madison Paige in Heavy Rain. The second is Anton Chigurh from No Country for Old Men, played by Javier Bardem.
  2. I'm back Here is some stuff I've done in the last couple of months NSFW The first one was done for a school project and I'm quite pleased with it. The second one is a wip of a Shadow of the colossus painting that I will propably never continue, because I just couldn't find a way to make it work. The third one is just a random painting that I did.
  3. TheMightyEthan, am I retarded or why is it I couldn't find your e-mail on your profile? And oh man it's been like over a month or something since I said I'd send the Joker picture to you, but only now I'm doing something about it.....I hate myself
  4. Goddamnit, I still haven't started the daily thing...... It seems I never get anything done and I never do things when I say I'd do them...I'm fucking useless. Well anyway here is some stuff I made some time ago. Tbh I don't like the Snake Painting at all.
  5. Something I finished today. I'm happy with it, learned new things etc. It might be a bit too dark or something I dunno. Well I think we could start the daily theme thing on monday(23rd).
  6. Now some of these are actually pretty challenging, but I thought this would be better and a lot more interesting than drawing characters etc. So yeah I'm going to do these even if no one else joins, but I think it'd be really cool if atleast some of you guys would do this too. I mean it would interesting to see your drawings/paintings, regardless of how good you are at drawing/painting. If some of you are interested in doing this, I think we should set a date when to start it. And here is some random stuff from my Painting folder(Both were done for practise). I used a different program for these, which is Corel Painter 12. It's pretty cool.
  7. I'm ready to start the daily theme thing now. I know it took me way longer than I said so sorry for that. I just want to ask about the "themes", I mean can it be like draw a specific character/animal etc.(Like Super Mario)or something like that. TheMightyEthan so should I email the file to you, or what? And so sorry it took you this long. Btw I also wanted to ask you that, do you want me to make you a better Joker picture, because that one is a speedpainting and I think I'd do a lot better if I really invested some time on doing a better one. And LittlePirate your latest drawing is really great. I like the style a lot.
  8. Now that you said it, it does look a bit weird. I think I'll fix that at some point. And thanks ^^
  9. I really like the black and white one too
  10. I forgot to answer this. Yeah those are all digital paintings, so I don't have them in a physical form. I guess I could send you the file and then you could go to some printshop to print it, but I'm not sure you'd want that. Anyway, if you do want the file I don't want any money for it.
  11. Like LittlePirate said earlier, deviantART is great if your looking for tutorials. I would also suggest practising painting or drawing from photos and just looking at stuff other people have made. Anyway damn awesome that you are going to start drawing again About the daily theme, LittlePirate. I can only start doing it the day after tomorrow, because I still have two exams this week at school. Exams are also the reason I didn't answer sooner, so sorry about that. Here is also something I did this week.(On and off between reading for the exams) I'm really happy with it. Feel free to critique.
  12. Hey LittlePirate, I was thinking about the daily theme thing and i think it would be a great way to practise. So are you up for it?
  13. I'm self-taught, but I'm going to go to somekind of an art school after I get out of high school.
  14. I love the Joker one too. Not because I made it, but because Joker is awesome.
  15. Another speedpainting! This time it is the awesomeness that is Gollum I really need to watch the trilogy again. I think I'll try to do one of these everyday as I think it's great practise.
  16. A couple of speedpaintings from movies I like. Well actually I LOVE two of those movies. Each of these took approximately 2 hours and I'm quite happy with the result.
  17. Another painting! I'm pretty pleased with this one, as I think I got a lot of things right. Background is boring as hell though, so that's one place I have to improve in.
  18. More practise.Nothing special really, just wanted to try out a couple of techniques
  19. Don't lose confidence in yourself. It was only last summer that I myself realized how much I love painting/drawing and that I want to do this for a living. I wasn't particurarly good before that, but now that I've been practising a lot, I've gotten so much better. I'm just trying to say that if you really want to become better, you must practise almost daily and soon you will already see how much you've progressed. You should look at a lot of other peoples art. Whenever I feel like I just don't have any ideas as to what to paint or how to paint something, I just go to places like deviantART. And looking at the stuff other people have done, never fails to inspire me or give me new ideas. Also there are really cool tutorials all over the internet that are really helpful. Painting people from photos or some stock images, is something I've also deemed very helpful. Painting from those really helps you understand how basic things like lighting works. Ofcourse it might be depressing to go to deviantART and, realize there are a lot of people that are million times better than you, and that some of them are also younger than you. This happened to me a lot, but lately I've stopped getting depressed about it, and kind of been like "oh man, that guy is so awesome! Look at that painting. Better go practise myself so that I'll get that good." So I've tried use it to push myself to become better. Anyway, it's obvious that you're already into a good start so don't give up now, just continue drawing/painting if that is what you want. I personally would be really excited to see how you progress and give advice and critique. Oh, and that daily theme idea sounds really great. Ps. Sorry if my english sounds awkward or something. I'm from Finland and while I can speak and type pretty well, I'm really not that good at writing even a little larger posts like this.
  20. A really lazy sketch that I just did. I just wanted to doodle something before going to sleep. It took probably 15 minutes. I think I'm going to try to do atleast one painting/drawing a day. Whether it be a simple sketch or a proper painting depends on my day.
  21. Such a peaceful and beatiful song. One of the best bands around.
  22. A practise painting I did today. Wanted to try out some brushes. There are several things wrong with it, but I didn't want to spend too much time on it, so it looks kind of rough. No reference used.
  23. Yeah it's a plaque mask.
  24. Here is another one, and I'm not sure what to think of it. Well anyway, at the very least it was great practise and I feel like I learned a lot doing it, so that's good. Used reference for the body.
