Falling asleep during a gaming session(s)
Gigawings replied to Gigawings's topic in General Gaming Chat
When I play Diablo 2 it's actually quite fun really, playing normally in single player, but when I decided to try online my friend taking me to do a speed run, big mistake, at first it was fun, finishing D2 that fast, and leveling at the cow level is fun (at first), but when I hit higher level (70? 80?) it get really repetitive and boring because it take longer to level up. And my friend already maxed 3 characters, after fallen asleep a couple of time I decided to quit and play Counter Strike instead. -
Do you ever? I once fallen asleep during a long session of Diablo 2 Cow level binge, when I woke up my Amazon is dead, laying on top of dead cows, my party already cleared the field (except for the Cow King of course) and left me behind. Actually, I fall asleep in Diablo 2 a lot, that's when I noticed that I start to get bored with the game (killing cows everyday or hunting down Mephisto over and over again) and it's time to move on.

Get teary eyed when I play Disgaea, when:

I never got sickness from gaming nowadays, but yeah, I once got "initiated" for my first full 3D gaming experience in Mario 64. Too excited too play, ignoring dizziness and nausea, followed by having my breakfast launched out from my stomach a couple hours later. After that, I start practicing to get used with 3D, 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours and so on and so on, and before I know it, I already playing Duke Nukem for hours. But never play games when you have migraines with painkiller combo, I just buy SSF II HD for PSN and as a man I obliged to play it so I can see Cammy's ass in HD (hey, I'm being honest here), let say it was the worst gameplay I've ever done, tapping button randomly while tunnel visioning my eyes to the screen.

Just get back from SpeakUp area, find out that LoneWanderer, the guy who always promote Tay Gappoi is banned now, it seems like he finally get on editor's nerve now. To Excaliburps: Be careful man, I think they start noticing any links people put out in Kotaku TAYs and speakup, hope you won't get banned from posting BF3News link. (even though I saw many people still posting their blog links, so it just a caution)

When Owen put the March madness sport releases article I commented about my idea of a combination of Golf and action games involving monsters, only to someone pointing me out about an old Atari game called Ninja Golf. Now I want someone to remake Ninja Golf, or a spiritual successor of it, damn that game is awesome, when it go to the water rather than running on it he goes straight in to the water, kicking ninjas and sharks! After some youtube search: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLwgunm90k0

1. Find awesome game he doesn't know about with relatively low review score compared to his standard 2. Play it in front of him and have him revel in its awesomeness 3. Let him play it and revel in its awesomeness 4. Show him the score 5. Profit Heh, I don't want to waste my time to try to convince him, with the 50/50 possibilities I prefer to spend my time with like minded friend online. Bad Company 2, here come.

Need their own game, and also a clash with Capcom's fighters And yes, I know about Mugen, but I want a proper game.

Feh, tired of score based reviews, it's just a way for people with short attention span to skip the written review and goes right to conclusion or even only saw the scores. I've met with someone who only play games that popular and get great scores from sites like IGN and Gamestop (after the K&L debacle) and brag about it, long story short, I rarely talk about games around him anymore after he decided to diss my choice of games and belittling me.

Games you like that everyone else seems to hate

Have you seen Red Cliff? I thought it was OK, but if you enjoy that stuff you might like it. Yup, it's only cover the battle of Cher pee (Chi Bi)though, where the alliance of Shu and Wu against Wei, quiet legendary because of its epic tales *put a dollar in epic jar* when T'sao T'sao (Cao Cao) is in his peak, with a large army (some say 100,000 men, other say 1,000,000 men)against the smaller numbers of soldiers from the Shu Wu Alliance, and they able to win with various strategies. -
What I own right now: NES - There's image problems with some games, but it work. NDS - Buy it used PSP - Buy it used, I accidentally step on its screen and it broke PS - Broken, I think it's the optic. PS3 - Buy it new. PC - What I use right now. IBM thinkpad laptop - Good ol' reliable. Old Toshiba Satellite laptop - From the 90s, broken, I wish I can fix it so I can bring it to a cafe and pull out this large monstrosity (well, it's more common back in the 90s) and use it nonchalantly. Mobile Phone - yep What I used to own: N64 - I sold it, I regret it. Sega Genesis - I don't know, do I really lost it or me mother keep it in a box or something. Game Gear - Love it, fried it when I set the wrong voltage, now I can't find it, maybe it had the same fate as my Genesis. PS2 - My (ex) best friend stole it. Various old PCs - yep

What I read regularly: NerfNow Well, you guys read it too in Sunday comics. Johnny Wander Slice of life mostly, there's some gamre reference in it. Three Panel Soul A mix of slice of life and video games, from the one who draw AppleGeeks. Sandra and Woo A story about a sly raccoon and his owner, no, not that raccoon. Dead Winter Zombies vs Mop. I still have tons of webcomics that I read, but they're the one I check regularly.

Well, it have Natalie Portman in it, so I'm going to watch it. Now, about Green Lantern...

I love anime but I miss lots of new animes, I have to catch up. But my favourites are classic animes Like Eva, Captain Taylor, UC Gundams, Slayers and many more. The last movie I watched is Satoshi Kon's Paprika, too bad he died before he can finish his new movie.

I think most people love Vietnam because some maps are smaller and involve lots of close combats, and flamethrower, it's a beauty.
-
Yeah. That's what I was thinking. They can tweak the maps to make it more compact, but how will jets fare? I know I don't want to be in a map where the jet can blitz through in about 2-3 seconds through the whole map. Well, BC2 already had the biggest map added recently and it still playable in PS3, even though sometimes players will be lumped in a certain area (mostly around flags) but yeah, I think this could work. man, I wish PS3 use 1 GB of RAM instead the standard 512, they can't even be upgraded!

Yeah. I mean comments of the week were replaced with Photoshop contests? WTF? How is that better? Star system was fantastic at first. Now? Everyone has one and they don't care if they have one. Well, CotW process is quite complicated, first, People need to send their favourite comment(s) by e-mail, there's at least 50 articles in workdays and less than 20 articles in weekends, comments range between 10-1000 per article, let say there's 5 percents of that comments were sent to them, the time to sort it out, the time to read them one by one and then decide the top 4 or 5 take too long, so I think that's why they dropped it. Now with PS contest, there are 300-800 submitters each week, but the choice option is easier. Star, once used as a meter to show a quality commenter, now it's only for them who were noticed when they make a good comments OR people who can shoop da whoop. About the star Owen give to the one who correct him, it was about a football event correction, I rarely open Owen's football article, so when I open one, I stumble with this: http://ca.kotaku.com/5752823/ A guy called Extric correct him about... well... oh heck here the copy paste: "Brees is the only Super Bowl winner among that bunch." Uhh... Polamalu and the Steelers won the Super Bowl that year I don't know if this star is justified or not, I just hoping that they still giving star due to quality of the commenter.

Dynasty/Samurai/gundam Warriors, reading Sam Kok (Romance of the Three Kingdom) over and over again since I was little boy make me enjoyed the game more, some say it's repetitive, I'll say nothing more satisfying when I mow those lowly soldiers with Lu Bu (greatest fighter in the three kingdom, absolute moron in governing a country/harnessing loyalty/diplomacy) or burning down the whole T'sao T'sao (Cao Cao) armada and humiliate him during his escape. I hope the new DS/SW/GW will create new innovations, like commandeering a big group of soldiers in a large landscapes, utilizing various strategies, like fire arrows, boulders, wood ox, etc etc. -
Opera user here, lightweight, not so many problem, the downside is only a few extensions and widgets, and can't grabbing flash straight from the website, but that's all.

After a year without gaming and active online (my PS2 got stolen and my PC is kinda wonky) I finally able to buy PSP, NDS and a PS3, start posting in Kotaku (and finally here, TAY.G) so... yeah My name? I love to create names, I have tons of active emails and a couple of forums memberships, mostly with different names, I usually ended up with gibberish names and weird meaningless words for the passwords (I have tons of passwords too, sometimes my brain filing cabinet can get messy)
