  1. I trust Devin Faraci and his opinions tend to align with my own. And it wasn't an instruction but a declaration

  3. So you can't make a giant picture of a penis out of alien corpses and then tell all your friends to head by Planet Penis and look for it? Disappointed.
  4. Some photos from Dr. Strange. This looks kinda bizarre but seems like a good main cast and all British people too (Cumberbatch, Ejiofor and Wong). http://geektyrant.com/news/exciting-doctor-strange-set-photos-and-video-show-off-some-action
  5. Yeah, I'm on PS4. I need to try the challenging missions (the hard ones, at level 30, are very easy) but one of our team is lagging behind a bit in terms of gear and skills. Those seem like the only mode where teamwork is absolutely necessary. I'm yet to see anything matching Destiny raids. There are a lot of niggling issues I have like with how generally useless the DPS stat actually is, or how you have to remove mods and replace them to get accurate comparisons between weapons (I'm sure personal preference will come with time though). On top of that, the servers are still shit so I've been killed by lag or even dropped out of activities, and on more than one occasion I've been booted then put into a queue to reconnect. Plus, I'm still annoyed about an incident where AI enemies randomly spawned in and shotgunned me in the back in the Dark Zone as well. The min-maxing also looks like an arduous process because there's way too much variability in armour values, etc. with increasing recalibration costs. The story's not up to much either and I don't see a long-term potential for keeping things interesting, although, obviously I hope I'm wrong. It's early days.
  6. I've actually finished the season now. First minor gripe: did the S2 writers forget that all of his remaining senses are superhuman now? I know it was rarely acknowledged in S1 but I seem to recall it being referenced at least once. Overall, I really liked some elements but was also a little disappointed in others. That said though, I think they did a better job with the supporting cast this time round and there was a lot more interesting dramatic conflict between them.
  7. Yeah, I edited it down and kinda messed that up.
  8. So after not really liking the beta, I grabbed this since three friends were too. It's actually pretty fun once you get into it (and your cousin isn't just moaning over voice chat, lost and more keen to play shitty Trials of Osiris in Destiny). Only just hit 30 but the actual missions and exploration has been fun. This is exactly how I hoped a Batman: No Man's Land game would be structured. Can't help feeling I wouldn't be half as engaged if it weren't linked to a larger progression, however. Now I'm 30, I'm not sure what there is besides DZ and daily missions. The endgame is yet to come... On the hot topic, I wouldn't actually compare it to Destiny since it's more like Diablo. Definitely fill different niches anyway. The big positive here is that now my three close friends can actually play regularly where a lot of Destiny limits you to three-player groups (such a stupid design choice, actually).
  9. I'm not that far into the series actually, but I can tell Elektra's going to be annoying just by how she said, "Hello, Matthew" at the end of the last episode.
  10. The only thing that bugs me about Daredevil is that a lot of the scenes just go on too long. It's bizarre because sometimes the writing can be really good, plus they're not even trying to fill out a slot in a TV schedule. An episode can be as long as it needs to be. I must say that Bernthal did a great job with that whole, long back story speech in "Penny and Dime" (episode 4, I think).
  11. In Bruges is awesome. Everything the McDonagh brothers have done has been great.
  12. Just seen that. Pretty good bit of publicity.
  13. To be honest, I don't really remember much of U3's competitive multiplayer so maybe it is very different. I thought we played it a bit as the forum, but maybe that was just 2? It actually reminded me more of Halo 4's MP which was actually p good. Problem is, cash doesn't seem to suggest a great performance. I could rake in loads of cash but still have a pretty abysmal Down/KO-to-KOed ratio. Having played some more after that though, I hate the melee thing. It's garbage. Hold L1 to charge it up, otherwise it takes 3 hits? It's worse than the old system. Also, was that revive thing like that in competitive U3? I hate that as well. Reminds me of Destiny's Trials of Osiris.
  14. You kind of just sit through the verses until you reach that chorus.

  16. Figured I'd check to see if I could pick up The Uncharted Collection on the (very) cheap, so I went on eBay. I saw a few auctions about to end in 10-20 minutes, with people clearly pushing the totals up past £15-16 before postage (I could find it new for £20 inc. P&P) but I also spotted one about to end in 10 minutes, 0 bids, £10.00. So I put in a slightly higher bid just in case and went uncontested anyway. Nice!
  17. As far as I'm aware, Ethan's main criticism of Uncharted combat is the bullet sponges. Uncharted competitive multiplayer does not have that issue. My impression's so far are that it feels like the Uncharted multiplayer of old but with even more of the Call of Duty-inspired kill-streak bonus things, except it's with regards to cash that you earn for kills, assists, grabbing gems on the map, etc. Before, I think you just had a couple of boosters, but now you can throw out freaking cursed relics (that are really just cluster-seeker bombs) or spawn temporary allies (like bullet sponges or snipers). There's some extra manoeuvrability in terms of being able to swing on ropes, but the couple of maps I've seen so far don't seem to integrate the verticality like in the previous ones. It used to be fun finding a vantage point or being able to flank from all sorts of directions, which I haven't seen so far.
  18. Multiplayer open beta is this weekend. Gooooo.
