Totilo may seem a bit boring, but he has written some good articles and has a degree of professionalism lacking from the others, and Tim Rogers has some valid ideas hidden among the crap. Plunkett is more like a paid troll. Also, I should point out the first question says 'Who's you're least favorite Kotaku writer or contributor?' Mistakes can be easy to make (although, confusing averse and adverse may just be stupidity)

I would call that 'over-written' (a term that also applies to Tycho's posts on Penny Arcade.) I wasn't expecting much going in, but it was alright. Not necessarily a bad film, but not great either.

That's exactly my sentiment. Although, personally-speaking, I would say the Guild Wars model is best. You're not just letting people play for free, you're recouping costs straight away and yet you're not making them pay loads every month. You could probably then switch to a free model after that. Obviously, I have no knowledge of the market so I'm just voicing a personal preference.
