Finally completed this mission, it sure was something. Ended up just running away while blowing up any helicopters that tried to chase me. Mission was kinda disappointing in its execution, though the story and the way it sets up a possible new entry in the Splinter Cell series is pretty cool. The nod to MGS was pretty cool, and Sam's reaction when he realises he's the only one left is heartbreaking. After completing the mission you get Sam's sonar goggles which change the night vision effect, looks cool, but it's not as drastic a change as with the Predator mask. Would be awesome to see the Ghosts in Splinter Cell.

Probably, though I wouldn't be surprised if that was their real reason, over here, schools/businesses make time for the World Cup, specially when Mexico plays, I remember classes would be suspended so we could watch the matches. Fun times.

Well, tried again, and again, and again and... This mission has some serious issues, specially the lack of checkpoints. I've now managed to find a path that lets me sneak in undetected, so that part is easy, the problem is the other stuff, you have to fight Unidad forces, an endless stream of Unidad forces, which gets pretty annoying, also, like I mentioned, there's no checkpoints so if you die/fail at any point, you have to start from scratch, and you can actually get detected mid-cutscene so... That's a thing. Sam also has an extremely minor role in here, and he doesn't do much for most of it, though it's still pretty cool to see him again, with Ironside voicing him no less. Will tweak my loadout and try again later, this time I know to bring in heavy weapons instead of stealthy ones.

http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2018/04/13/thq-nordic-e3-2018-not-happening-per-company/ THQ Nordic skipping E3 in favour of the World Cup. I can relate, it'll be a busy time of the year around here.

HELL YEAH Fate/Extella Link! \m/ \m/ Reflexions is one of those games many thought would never make it over here, cool to see it, though I don't own a Switch. Renewal had already been teased but it's cool to see confirmation of it along with platforms, didn't expect a PC release so soon. Bullet Witch is a game I wanted to play on 360 back when I saw the trailer, looked cool in a super over-the-top kind of way, never managed to get it though, as it was sold-out/out-of-print. Doesn't look like it aged well though. Highlight is Fate/Extella though, can't wait for it. \m/ \m/

Wildlands is much more forgiving than others though, mostly by allowing you to just kill everyone from a distance before approaching a base/outpost/whatever, this time though, there's a no-kill condition. In general, it's also not as stealth focuses as previous entries, allowing for a guns-blazing approach if you so desire. The Tier One stuff doesn't help either, as that makes it easier to be detected, I'll probably turn it off on my next attempt. The mission should be available right at the start, you'll be contacted and told where/when to go and that should be it, though I would recommend picking up a couple of weapons before heading in.

Holy crap, the Splinter Cell mission is HARD, mainly because I suck at stealth stuff, my usual approach is to just kill everyone, which does not work for this mission.

https://news.ubisoft.com/article/splinter-cells-sam-fisher-sneaks-into-ghost-recon-wildlands More details on the Splinter Cell collaboration, looks like it'll be like the Predator stuff, a short mission, with a themed reward, with some extra DLC and PVP stuff. Game will be free to play for a couple of days, so if you're curious, this is the best time to try it, the Predator mission returns for this event too.

Cryengine has now switched to a similar model to what Unreal uses, first $5k are royalty free, afterwards, there's a 5% fee.

It was a free in-game event, a short mission where you hunt the Predator, you can't play as the Predator, but you do get the mask, which changes the way the thermal vision works you also get some face paint which depending on your character may look cool or really dumb. There was also some paid DLC which added the full Predator outfit, and some other stuff, including an outfit based on Dutch, there was also some PVP stuff but I didn't check that out. Pretty simple, but I loved the hell out of it.

HELL YEAH \m/ \m/ I wonder if it'll be like the Predator stuff, a short mission, or if it'll be bigger/set up an announcement or something.

It was a big thing here, because they could not do it, apparently the people organizing it did not go through the proper channels, so Toei released a statement asking people to cancel those events. Then people tried to watch it on Crunchyroll, which could not handle the load and crashed.
