I'm the same way as Dean with my wishlist: it's mostly stuff I'm mildly interested in, combined with a few things I'm waiting for a price drop on.

QUBE is 75% in the flash sale for whoever it was that wanted it.

I'd like to see Prototype for $5, but that's about all I care about at this point. I agree it's seemed tame, but I think the reason for that is that I already own most of the games on Steam that I really want.

I keep forgetting about Onlive. There's a good sized library of high quality games right there, that will support a controller.

Luckily it's part of Tropico 4, which I already own, so it doesn't count as an addition to my backlog (since Tropico 4's already on there).

From Dust only has the connect-at-launch DRM anyway, so it's not that bad.

What were the other voting options? I can't even remember. I'm voting for Portal 2 so WaS can have another shot at it, since Steam wouldn't accept his transaction last time.

Steam sales are responsible for probably 80% of my backlog. Re Rico: There were only two parts of the game where he bothered me much, though I think part of that was because the character development was so non-existent that I was probably 75% of the way through the game before I was confident I even knew who was who, so overall I can't say Rico's personality really had any impact on my enjoyment of the plot. For me it all just goes back to the fact that the game treated everything like srs bsns but the writing and voice acting was just so poorly done that it was laughable. I agree that it's a shame because the lore for the game really is cool and you can tell they put a lot of work into it, and it's sad that they had to go and ruin it by taking themselves too seriously.

Yeah, I'd go with Catherine first, and then use Gravity Rush as the game you switch to when you get too frustrated with Catherine and have to take a break.

That'll change once Gen 8 rolls around and they're able to put more taxing games on consoles. Course it'll change back as those consoles age... lather, rinse, repeat.

See, I've found that my most successful interviews have been the ones I went into honestly not caring if I got the job or not. I don't know if it's because I'm more relaxed or what, but that's been my experience.

If you don't like the game, fine, whatever, I don't care, but there's no reason to come in here just to say that (I know you posted the video, which I appreciate, but I suspect your true motive of coming in here to post it was to say the game is stupid and we're stupid for being taken in by it). I don't like fighting games but I don't go into the fighting games thread to tell them how bad fighting games are, because that would make me a dick.

I don't understand why people feel the need to go out of their way to denigrate things other people like. Anyway, looks cool, though even I'm starting to get a little disappointed that they'll only show Redcoats as enemies.

I would love to see this be a success, but at this point I don't think it's likely. I don't really have anything to back that up though, it's just my gut reaction.

I highly recommend Company of Heroes to anyone who likes RTS.
