  1. To answer my own question:
  2. fuck me those are beautiful. Is there a high res video of that e3 tank battle yet?
  3. You have roughly $15K to spend on a car, you're primary interests are quality and gas/mileage. What do you get?

15k could buy many many sandwiches.

Anyway, the only problem I've had with a Focus is with the windshields. Its curved in just a way that the wipers don't always do a very good job, but that's just a minor thing. I do <3 my Focus.

Oh, and the Versa has a ton of leg room.

Entry-level vehicles for just about any make is what fits each of those criteria. If you want long-term reliability with good gas mileage, I would recommend the Honda Fit, which, as it's name implies, can hold a lot of stuff.

A lot of people have said Mini, but I don't think they're quite as good for long-term reliability as other makes. The Mini is more of a small car for drivers who like driving. Go-kart-like handling is all I hear about it .

  4. I absolutely LOVED it! The only issue is that the movie takes quite a few liberties, which some fans won't be able to handle. And I was bugged by the way Xavier's always touching his temple.
  5. The game's not out yet, but from what I've seen it's a winner. To heck with the haterz!
  6. What's on your mind?http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/06/08/nintendo-39-s-stock-falls-after-wii-u-announcement.aspx

Not surprised. Even the people who are excited for Wii U agree that the presentation did a horrible job showing it.

  7. I see that the MS press conference will be on Spike tomorrow. What about the other two major ones?

Your first mistake was choosing Spike.

  8. Some of you may recall my spat with Xbox Live Rewards over a prize copy of Kinect Sports. Six months later, I recieved all three of the major Kinect fitness games. Customer service victory FTW!!!!

That's terrible customer service. They just gave you free shit.

I meant customer service victory for me.

      Mr. GOH!

Seems like a hollow victory to me.

  9. I did that and I got chewed out; did the case almost perfectly -- all clues found, only one question missed. I think it was because I totaled up a damage bill with my car.
  10. I'm weird like that. I like to play through from beginning to end.
  11. Does anyone know if a new game rewrites all your listed cases and their scores, or if it just replays through them -- leaving the unlocked cases?
  12. I'm on disc 3. I've been binge-playing the game for the last couple of days. It's amazing how immersive the game is. During the homicide chapter, loose ends from solved cases would nag at me while I wasn't playing the game. I sucked at the beginning of the game, but I've gotten a lot better. I'm starting to really think like a detective. I wasn't bothering to drive other vehicles much, but then I noticed the vehicle gallery in the Extras section. Note that Jay Leno's car collection is listed in the credits.
  13. YES!!!! You'll excuse my pet peeve, but I go nuts when people ask that question. Again, YES! Play Mass Effect 1 first!

To his credit, he does say in the comments that its being the "biggest" game is no indication of its potential quality.

      Everyone is biased, Thursday...

Also, biggest does not equal best. It is likely to be the biggest.

  14. That's one positive review. It sounds like my understanding of the open-world environment was correct.
  15. No way. They've spent god-knows-how-many months filming Aaron Stanton (Cole Philips) performance. There's no other detective that you'll play as if you die.
  16. Yes, Kevin Bacon is Shaw. I never thought of the character as being anymore heavy built than your average, yet muscle-ripped character. Bacon is in very good shape. My biggest concern about Bacon in that role is that Shaw is an anglophile and Bacon typically plays characters with a southern accent.
  17. I liked the second half of the interview better. You asked good questions. I want to know about the differences between the PC and console versions. Too bad he wasn't free to talk about it much. I liked the pictures too.
  18. didn't buy it; not interested in it. But I thought I'd post this: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/05/11/brink-patched-lag-under-investigation.aspx
  19. Exactly what the hell is a SWAT turn?
  20. I stand corrected on both counts.
  21. Why do you keep saying that? It might be their first game with Rockstar, but they did the Getaway.
  22. I'm gamefly-ing it first. If it's good, then I'll get it when it inevitably drops in price. It seems like everything except Winter AAA releases get dropped within a few weeks now. oh, btw... launch trailer is up: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/launch-trailer-l-a-noire/713706
