Chewblaha
So I just picked up Raging Blast 2, and I'm loving the game so far. Rather than fighting across the universe in general through the big fights through specific sagas, you fight through EACH CHARACTER'S saga. There are about ninety so it looks to have lots of replay value. The camera is slightly buggy, but nowhere near as bad as Raging Blast one was. Pretty fun. Anyone else got it? iLjaG
Budokai 3 was the first and last time a good DBZ game was made.
Chewblaha
Raging Blast 2 is actually pretty fun. You should try renting it if possible.
Mister Jack
This is and probably always will be my favorite DBZ game.
Chewblaha
I think I only ever played the Japanese version of that. Negating energy attacks was hard.
Mister Jack
I played that game so much when I first found it that I became almost a savant. How I wished for an online option. I probably don't still have the knack for it, though.
iLjaG
DBZ Legends for PSOne was about the best DBZ import game, pre-American popularity. Had all the characters, 3 on 3 battles, most of the major moves, etc. Still wasn't all that great though. Then with Budokai 1 and 2, they were steps in the right direction, but 3 really nailed it. Then the Tenkaichi series came out and it's been downhill ever since.
King Jimmeh
Budokai 3 was the first and last time a good DBZ game was made. Budokai 3 was definitely the high-point of DBZ games. I never cared for the Tenkaichi games (despite them being more like the show), as they just weren't as fun and came off as a bit cheap. Sure Budokai isn't exactly Street Fighter 2, hell it's not even Tekken, but at least it had separate buttons for punch and kick. Burst Limit was pretty good, and looked great, but the story capsules were just annoying. Plus there weren't enough characters in the game. Budokai 3 had gone through all of GT and included movie characters, why did games going backwards? And then I played the Raging Blast 2 demo, and found it was like Tenkaichi, so that was quickly deleted
