Alpha Centauri

So EA have just recently refreshed their Trademark on Alpha Centauri the other day (it lapsed or something in '09)

The only major downside is the very specific nature of these trademarks being put out on a very online game. And given where EA likes to go with that and owning things like playfish/popcap it could come out as a Facebook type game which could be kinda sucky.

 

Just hoping it won't be a FPS set on a distant planet controlled by several warring factions and mindworms.

 

I'm feeling that it may be due to the recent GOG release showing continued interest in the franchise.
