Microsoft Publisher Relations

So first there was this:

Then Sonys "vice president of publisher relations" decided to have his say on the matter. It's not pretty (It definitely has a tinge of the sony arrogance, but I don't think anyone would begrudge a game wanting to have 50GBs to itself)

It's something we've known of for a while. XBLA and XBLIG devs haven't exactly being too quiet on the topic, and even as consumers we can kinda tell what's going on behind the scenes (Thursday hasn't exactly being quite on how pushy MS can be either even to big publishers) It seems Dyer has finally snapped on the matter :P

Gabe hasn't been too quite on the XBL stuff too

(and when you get the guy who released 2 of his past games console exclusive to you, and used to rag on the PS3 rather infamously you know you must be doing something wrong)

(Dust-514 is another example of it as well I guess)

(I'm also concerned for how ...Errm..Demons Souls 2, forgotten the name for now, will work as well since I know a few of it's quirky features are based on PSN-only APIs)

I'm hoping that more pressure from folks like Newell might get MS to open up a tad more next gen. Somewhat annoying to play a game and realise how much bigger or better it could have been had it been given more space, or a more open multiplayer. CS:GO n Dust-514 will certainly be fun to see in that regard.
