So this is apparently delayed until the end of the month (was originally coming out tomorrow), but it's supposed to promise 4 player coop FPSing in a bank setting. Oh yeah, and I guess you wear clown masks.

 

Not sure if I am all that interested in it, I like the idea of robbing a bank and NOT becoming a mass murderer or cops that don't shoot on sight perhaps. It could just turn into a Left4Dead with cops in a different setting, which frankly sounds kinda dull.

 

But for $20 it might be worth a shot if you've got friends playing it. Still undecided myself.

So I bought this and played some of it and (whoda guessed it) it's not very good.

 

The coop and the find this, open that nature of the game works well, but I couldn't play past the second level because the second level seems to throw all teamplay out the window in favor of endlessly respawning enemies without properly conveying there were endlessly respawning enemies. So here I was running ahead after clearing out an area only to find that enemies had reappeared behind me. I understand that this is all fine and dandy for keeping the game interesting, but it's really fucking irritating to get shot from somewhere and not know where the shots are coming from.

 

I'm sure I'd be fine with shooting endlessly respawning waves of enemies if the enemies were actually fun to shoot, but they really aren't. The starting assault rifle is useless, and although the pistol is pretty okay it recoils like crazy (which I would actually like if the assault rifle had comprable recoil) it takes far too many shots to the head to put someone down. I haven't played enough to unlock any of the other guns, but looking at the tree it looks like I might not.

Jokes on me, I must've killed at least 200 cops in the 2 levels I played.

 

So yeah, those are my thoughts. I wouldn't recommend it for more than 5 bucks myself.

I downloaded the demo,the objectives are not very clear, and like you said, cops just keep respawning as you are waiting for an objective to complete. Overall its less compelling than L4D, I was hoping for a fun co-op experience, but instead this was just OK.

On PS3? I've heard the guns actually handle worse on PS3, something I can definitely believe from my experience with PC.

I have a friend who likes it, though, so I'm sure I'll play it a little bit more and hope my opinions change.

 

Also, the PC options screen for changing graphics and audio is hilarious. I'll try and remember to post a screenshot or something tomorrow when I'm back on the computer that can run it.
