deanb
So what's everyone's New Year Resolutions. Mine are, in no particular order: - Continue further with 2012's weight loss resolution. Probably means joining the gym around March-ish or so. (Sod doing it in January, it's all cold) - Clear out a decent chunk of my backlog. Heck 20% would be great. - Bring in 2015 with someone special. - Continue being employed. edit: Aww yiss. I'd been keeping an eye on those increasing Topic IDs and timed this great (well, was mainly aiming for this thread or the "Games Beat 2014" thread to be the 2014th thread. Faiblesse Des Sens
I finally hit 1080p on both monitors this year. I don't think I'll increase in the next year as I like having two monitors that are the same size and resolution.
danielpholt
Continue to eat relatively healthy and maintain my current level of exercise Worry less (I did that an awful lot in 2013)
TheFlyingGerbil
I don't make resolutions as I know I won't keep them. Plus, if I made a list of all the things I need to work on I think I would probably kill myself.
TCP
My resolution is to quit drinking pop/soda. I drink too much and apparently it is not healthy.
deanb
Dropping the pop was one of my big weight loss secrets. Still have it now and again though not as much as I used to. Do drink my fair share of tea and coffee in compensation though.
Mal
Tea and coffee doesn't matter if you cut out the milk and sugar. Beer on the other hand... fuck. Anyhow... Lawyer up and Hit the gym. I got a graduation in six months and a wedding as (Most likely) best man in Aug of 2015. As one of the few to buck the fiance sector in the family, I'm going to rock that suit. My weather hardened skin will stand out from my family because NYC is balls humid in Aug. Toastmasters. I got to get better in my speaking skills which lies with thinking on my feet more. I'm kind of slow, to say the least. Secure a medical fund for my dad. I looked through what my family went through when my grandparents rapidly declined and it wasn't pretty. He's getting old and being in his 50's, I fear that my siblings and I won't be able to take care of him if something happens. Less beer. Shit is expensive (At least 3 to 4 rent/utility payments by now) and of course carb loaded. Beer belly anyone? What can I do with about $3k not gone into my belly? Find a lady friend. I think I am ready... A good deal of these are interconnected. They most likely will crash and burn. What will not crash and burn in number three. Pojodin
I usually don't wait for a new year to start/change things in my life and don't really have any ideas atm. I've spent 13 of the last 15 years working on and modifying my training regiment to suit my needs as a versatile athlete. I eat about as healthy as possible and don't drink soda/can't consume alcohol. I'm coming off of a year where I played semi-pro football for a day (before smashing my face into a wall during our first practice on signing day that ended my season before it began), ran my first marathon, and did my first tough mudder and gladiator assault challenge. Since I graduated college (3 years ago), I've surpassed some 3-year milestones for training stuff (100,000+ 1-arm pushups, 15,000+ pull-ups, 3,000+ miles biked, 500+ miles swam, reached a new HRmax and matched it on six different occassions, etc.). I've done a pretty good job of chipping away at my video game backlog and just have a few games (that I'm serious about playing) left to get through atm. I am hoping to reduce the amount of stress in my life as 2013 was easily the worst year of my life, but much of that will depend on how circumstances play out.
