deanb
I think for many, especially if you're a Switch owner, this is one of the highlights of E3 so far. Essentially "XCOM: Mario". And the segment from E3 which includes Miyamoto, crying developers and some gameplay:
MetalCaveman
Looks cool, first thing that came to mind was XCOM: Mario Unknown. One of the games that makes me wish I had a Switch. Edit: Awesome trailer too, Airbourne rules! \m/ \m/
Saturnine Tenshi
This game looks like a lot of fun.
MetalCaveman
Those slide + pipe + jump combos look like they could lead to some interesting strategies.
Zeo-Gold92
Been playing this for the last couple of hours and I gotta say, I've been pleasantly surprised. I knew I was gonna enjoy it but I'm having a real blast. It's not usually my standard fare this sort of type of game. Very few games I gravitate towards have the RTS and turn based mechanics. But even though this does I'm still eager to play, certain battles have required me to take a careful and thoughtful approach instead of just winging it and I can appreciate that. It's actually encouraging me to think out my strategy without being too complicated. I haven't unlocked much but I was able to unlock a few cool weapons with some of the amiibos that I owned. First time I've actually used an amiibo for a game xD.
danielpholt
I've put about 12 hours into it so far and it's pretty great. As you'd expect with this sort of game, it oozes charm and isn't overly fussed about explaining itself. For some I guess that could be a problem, but for me I think its fine. Lots of people seem to be saying it's 'XCOM lite', and whilst that's obviously accurate to a small degree, I wander if its doing the game a disservice. There's definitely a tactical bent here. Like @Zeo-Gold92 already mentioned, as you get deeper in you'll find the difficulty increases and you'll have to play it almost like a puzzle game; working out the most effective way to manage the on-screen bad guys because some of them will fuck you up. It's fun. It's not overly long and it's the perfect game to play for 10-20 minutes and then forget about for a day or two. I love it.

Mister Jack
You know, I've started playing this game and I have to say that as much as the Rabbids annoyed me before, they fit in with the Mario universe surprisingly well.
