Henry Cavill cast as Geralt for the Netflix Witcher series.

A lot of people with no clue about how make-up work are a bit upset thinking that he looks nothing like Geralt. Of course also forgetting it's a book series so it's not based on the games. Cavill himself has in the past been quite glowing about Witcher games and his passion for the series is what'd apparently won him the role.

I'm quite looking forward to this, for the most part Netflix have done alright with TV shows (apart from issues outside of the shows...) and I think this'd follow on quite well from GoT ending. I'm am however well aware that Cavill is quite the movie start n likely not signing up to something that might turn into eight series so it's probably just gonna be a one and done kind of thing. But hey I could be proven wrong. I guess Spacey was a film actor mostly then became the advocate for Netflix. And maybe post DCCU Cavill might be done with films for a while. Though I'd imagine after M:I Fallout he can demand any role he wants.

The Exec producer has quite a mixed bag with some past writing credits on West Wing but most recently for The Defenders so...

Trailer. What's everyone thinking? I'm worried they'll try and make it as a GoT kind of replacement which it can't really given the mainly singular focus on...well The Witcher. I'm guessing they're gonna balance it up against Yennifer and Ciri to not have a show that's too singular on one character.

Also while I get they're not at all basing or beholden to any of the games look but I'd have felt the wolf medallion in games far superior to the almost coin-like necklace he has here.

Otherwise looking like they've put a nice budget in it and could be kinda decent.
