This is tied for my all-time favorite game.

 

A JRPG with an intriguing combat system, great characters, and a great story that spans every emotion possible.

 

It is quite easy for me to say that this game solidified the RPG as my favorite video game genre even though I had played many others before that I loved. It is a draw to the game that has a hold on me.

 

 

Sure it had a couple of technical problems here and there and an encounter system that probably had you fight well over 1500 battles throughout the game, but it was fun. Getting to each city and regenerating a different tree, watching the mist spread and humans come back to reality to find themselves looking for their loved ones or getting back to a normal life. All of that was amazing to watch, for me.

 

 

It also had some pretty hard boss fights. Including when Cort throws a moon on you. Though I always thought Xain was the first true test of how powerful you were. His ultimate was devastating.

 

 

SO much from the game's story still lives in my mind today as I often put it back in to relive the memories. I have a memory card full of nothing but Legaia saves.

 

Love this game.

 

 

I do hope that they one day add this treasure to the PSN Store. I would so very much love to add it to the two copies I already own. One digital, one sealed, one opened and playable. Worth it, to me at least.
