Rock Band DLC Recommendations

Figured I'd give this a go. As a connoseiuouieeeur (may have spelt that wrong) of Rock Band DLC, I figured I'd give you guys some recommendations...based purely off my own preference.

 

First up is Funk #49 by the James Gang. This track is no good for vocalists, but I'm not sure many of us play that anyway. It is a lot of fun for drummers (you even get a drum solo) and bassists; guitar is pretty cool with a little variation but is a mite more repetitive. Also, it's an awesome song.

Idiots Rule by Jane's Addiction

 

Some awesome guitar-shredding throughout, a funky but tricky bassline and a cool backbeat from the drums. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a full band video so you get a drums one. You should be able to hear the guitar and bass pretty well though.

 

 

Miss Murder by AFI

 

Some of you may remember this from GH3. It's a good track. Probably quite easy for a lot of folks but it's fun to play. I particularly like the drumbeat because it's got a constant and satisfying stomp with the bass drum for most of the song. I believe there's a pack of AFI songs, but I preferred to cherry-pick certain ones in this case.

 

 

I'll leave it at that for now. You may have noticed I tend to favour drums, but I can recommend all sorts if you guys ask for certain instrument-centric ones, particular genres or whatever.
