That thing is a total joke.

I'd prefer it if developers' would fine tune their control schemes better so that I don't have to occasionally perform hand gymnastics. For example, I often move my left hand over to the right control stick when I arm the bomb in Bad Company 2 so that I can aim and shoot anyone who shows up while I plant.

it works too, but it's annoying. I also hate it when you try to arm or disarm and instead you pick up the kit of a dead player next to the bomb

but really? Modded controllers are pretty lame imo.

I think a truly good use of controller modding would be to find ways for differentially-abled gamers to play. I've always worried about what I would do if I lost the use of my hands and I commend motion-controlled gaming for being an answer to that.

I laughed hysterically through this video. I just cannot fathom, these days, not playing a FPS game on a keyboard and mouse. Controllers always seemed to appeal to me in racing, platforming, and to an extent, puzzle/rhythm games.

Like Hotchops says with many games these days requiring hand gymnastics, it's something that is just going to run with the territory, until we go back to the days of one button to shoot, one to jump, and that's all. If we really want to fix games with these hand gymnastics, make it more realistic. Prevent the player from being able to look and fire while he's disarming/arming a bomb, because I'm pretty sure both of your hands are going to be occupied with said bomb. I think most games have taken things too far where I can climb a ladder, reload my gun, crouch, and throw a grenade at the same time without hurling myself off of that ladder.

(Unless you are Duke Nukem who can run AND kick with BOTH feet at the same time without breaking stride, because you're the Duke.)

I can see a lot of reasons why someone might not have a gaming PC and therefore not be able to play with a kb/m, but at the same time I feel like anyone who cares enough about games to get something like this would also have a gaming PC.

Well and I'm not so picky that I refuse to play FPS on console altogether. I flipping love Halo, for instance. But given the choice, I would always choose a kb/m for FPS. For FPS/RTS my preference is kb/m, for most other things it's a controller.

BTW, thank you so much Microsoft for making the 360 pad so widely compatible on the PC. I fucking love it. It's the only reason I was able to play Arkham Asylum on PC. :D
