Cyber Rat
There's always chance that the music in a game will just act as a placeholder for whatever reason. Or maybe you just can't stand the music provided but still want to play the game. What music do you listen to when playing one of these games? When I'm in an MMO, I give the music a shot, but find myself frequently just hitting my own playlist on shuffle. Magic the Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers I play while listening to the Nier OST (which, by the way, fits PERFECTLY). Although sometimes when I feel like an epic battle is coming, I play this. I'm trying to find the proper ambiental music for Minecraft, so far thinking Gandalf is the most fitting.
Pirandello
If I don't like the music from an MMO, I always (ALWAYS) replace it with a track from one of the Unreal Tournament games. You'd be surprised at how well they go with them. For example, use the UT2004 Arctic Stronghold OST for snow maps. Works damn well.
Rocket Lawnchair
I been really digging the daftpunk tron sound track and chronotroius(chrono trigger remix) sound track for gaming. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-f4dYfi4vM <- love it
MetalCaveman
Normally, I just leave the music the game has, but when I'm bored or I want to listen to something else I like to create different playlists for different games, for example, a game like Oblivion will get songs by Rhapsody of Fire, Ensiferum, Mago de Oz, and stuff like that, while something like Dead Space will get something like Cavalera Conspiracy, Death, DevilDriver and stuff like that In case I'm too lazy to create a playlist I just listen to whatever I have on my phone or whatever CD is closer to me

I recommend giving the entire Silent Hill 3 soundtrack a listen while you play Minecraft (with monsters ON, of course) I've played over 60+ hours of Minecraft listening only to SH3 and now I can't see Minecraft or hear SH3 without thinking of one or the other. Yantelope
I ripped a ton of music onto my original XBox so that I could listen to it while playing Forza, Burnout and Tony Hawk. It was one of the best features of that system. These days I will use the Xbox's ability to stream it directly off of my PC if I'm playing a racing game or something where I just don't like the music. Battra92
VERY nerdy but when I was using the boxing on Wii Sports as exercise I would play the NSF of Mike Tyson's Punch Out to box to. I even made a Mii that looked like Little Mac. ;;
