  1. I'm really liking Cold Steel 2 (although I kinda miss the old battle music) but I see that Tokyo Xanadu eX+ is on sale and I'm not sure if I should bite
  2. Well I finally finished up my first steam playthrough of Cold Steel, so there's that. I don't know if the bonuses you get in CS II from your completed file will still be a thing but i think i missed the second tier by 1 (finished at lvl 69) but still got rank Ao. I'm not sure if I will go for 100% on achievements or not later but apparently I missed a treasure chest again ;_; is gud game guide damn it/10

  7. for PS4 So far the english dub is kinda...bad (I've heard some comparisons to Chaos Wars) and the story isn't anything special since it's but I kinda like it so far.
  8. I'm kinda stuck on the NG+ Twins fight in P5 so lately I've been bouncing between various fighting games, which I will go on record for being poo poo at all of them. :^)
  9. Left Alive looks kinda neat. Maybe.

  10. It will be kinda sad once this is patched since it can help with the tedious contracts and also cause its silly af
  11. TF2 update is kinda rough but at least theres that silly Dalokohs Bar + Gloves of Running Urgently exploit that makes you practically immortal :^)

    Hawken

It did pretty well for being abandoned twice over but I feel like the nonsense with the database wherein a lot of players lost progress for no reason was a kicker. rip my Incinerator ;_;)7
  13. Gundam Versus is silly. I feel like I'm the lone Capool in a sea of Barbatos

  14. I still have the discs for this but I'll never get them to work on anything post-Windows 98/2000
  15. Oooh Tekken 7 is on sale...but Denuvo :'(

  16. Is the PC port of Cold Steel II coming out before the one Tokyo Xanadu, or the other way around? Either way its like the same game engine or whatev :V
  17. Gundam Versus is pretty neat

I think all Endless Space 1 gave me was a bunch of text boxes and then threw me into the Microsoft Excel UI

Endless Space 1 is especially bad, but less extreme versions of similar "tutorials" are pretty typical.

On the other hand a bunch of RTS games still have you do tutorials of "click her to click here" "click a unit to activate it". SMB 3 is still one of the best tutorials.

  21. Quake Champions is alright but the long load times and large patch sizes (only two patches were 22.22 gb total?) are whats killing it for me.

Mine is currently 9GB downloading for the open beta. I was a bit unimpressed with it (now I can say that). The supers felt clunky, nothing really differentiated the classes/characters. As for loading, I assume the match making, which I found in close beta could take between 1-3 minutes which kinda drags a bit.

When I first boot it up its not unusual for it to sit on that splash screen for around 3-5 minutes

I think i had stopped after losing a few boss fights worth of progress in FC after I forgot to grab a book thats waaaaay off the beaten path

Is that book critical? Because that's the kind of thing that'd make me go "fuck it, reading's for nerds anyway".

IIRC, in the first game collecting all the books is how you get the ultimate weapon for one of the two main characters. That's my one complaint about these games, they really go overboard with missable shit. "Oh, you didn't walk back way the fuck across the map to where you were an hour ago just for the hell of it? Well, you missed a side-quest! Now it's gone forever, dumbass!"

Unless you're specifically going for a perfect achievements/points run, I wouldn't worry about any of it. I certainly never do on a first playthrough. It's basically impossible to not miss anything without a guide, so I just enjoy the story on my first run and worry about achievements/points on a replay. Although, the 3rd has an achievement for beating the game on nightmare mode. I've heard scary things about Falcom games on nightmare mode...
