At least in Sweden, "everyone" knows ireland isn't part of the UK.
  2. You definitely have more money than me
  3. Now I hate old consoles. I can't find my ps2 memory card; my ps2 collection is suddenly kinda worthless.

Yes, but since Dreamcast, IIRC any of them will allow a dev to block savegame copying, and none of them really have hard drives that you can copy without special gear or an official service center's toolkit. I guess if someone saved everything to mem card on a 360 they'd be alright if there's nothing tying the save to their profile, but I've never seen someone do that (I've heard 360 flashdrive copies are profile-bound too.) More options, but not necessarily more freedom....

I've been led to believe you can save or copy onto various media, but not restore from it on a different unit without the help of the manufacturer.

You can save 360 games to a FAT32 drive.

  4. Though I have not played it myself, what I hear about Arkham Horror is that it's an overcomplicated mess of rules and is only appealing because of the theme; not the gameplay itself. For those reasons, combined with the effect luck can have on your game and the long length of it, it is not on my list of things to check out. In other news! I bought Descent 2nd Edition! Could also be called Descent: Actually Manageable Edition. The first version was like AH an overcomplicated mess of rules, and the new one removes the stuff that didn't matter (insert "dumbed down" complaint here) to make it much faster to set-up and play. Fun game where 1-4 players control heroes fighting to defeat a dark overlord... and another player controls said overlord and all of his minions. Fun fun fun, although seems balanced slightly in the heroes' favor (more so in the early scenarios. I'm not sure how the overlord is supposed to have a chance in the first one.)
  5. How are you liking Castle Panic? The cheap price tag has it on my "might pick up one day" list.
  6. <insert games as art debate> I've been slowly playing Fallout New Vegas (again) with some matches of Third Strike Online Edition spread in between.
  7. All this P4A talk is making me kinda wanna give Persona 4 another shot. Curse you, one month european wait time!

It makes me want to play Persona 4 The Golden... why aren't they coming out at the same time?!??!?!

Don't worry guys, if you really want it, you can just import the US version. I know PS3 doesn't have regio- oh...

  8. @Thursday: Deadmau5 churns out a whole load of tracks in very varying quality, and I never listen to any of his stuff as complete albums. I would recommend: Get Scraped (2006) - Waking Up From The American Dream, Try Again, Bored of Canada It Sounds Like (2009) - Ghosts N Stuff, I Remember, Jaded For Lack of a Better Name (2009) - Ghosts n Stuff (ft. Rob Swire), Strobe 4x4=12 (2010) - Some Chords And also HR 8938 Cephei and The Veldt, single tracks. @Spork: hater

No and it never was, that's just shitty reporting.
  10. Well, for one, Far Cry 2 doesn't even run on a halfway playable framerate on my PC. Assassin's Creed games, however, run pretty much flawlessly. And they still look gorgeous.
  11. So I wrote up my first proper "article" or whatever on the subject. Over here.
  12. They implied there would be ways to regenerate outside of combat, they just don't want you to regen while in combat.
  13. In regards with the suggestions that the movie didn't need Fox and Gordon... If they hadn't shown up at all, a lot of people would have been annoyed by it. I would have been annoyed by it!
  14. Personally, I like TDKR and TDK about as much, and both more than Begins. I feel Rises hit a sweet spot between the feel of both previous movies.
  15. I hate the children giving out advice thing, but that Innocent packaging gave me one of the truest laughs I've had in weeks.
  16. Yeah I completely loved it as well. The only thing that truly bothered me was the reveal at the end that
  17. So I bought this: It allows for a fifth player, though that map looks kinda odd, but more importantly fixes some apparent balance issues in the base game. Still haven't been able to give it a try though. Will report back when I have an opinion to share
  18. I agree with that in a general sense, but on the other hand sometimes you may need an event like this for people to realize the consequences of having such public and easy access to tools designed for killing.
  19. The only bad thing I can say so far about Guild Wars 2 is that it has managed to meet my (admittedly high) expectations without exceeding them. I wish I hadn't read up so much about it beforehand. Kinda spoils the surprise when I'm like "SEEN THIS BEFORE!" upon playing
  20. Honestly I can't understand not being in favor of something just because you see it as unlikely to happen.
  21. You know, sometimes you think that nothing will ever surprise you anymore. And you're always wrong. So fucking wrong. What the fuck did I just watch?
