If you have a friend at about the same skill level you should give the normal multi a chance. It's quite fun to watch you and your friends' skills develop :3

Did someone request a neckbeard?

Personally I think ever being completely certain about your beliefs is foolishness. Additionally, in the article he had denounced his belief in god before he started doing such digging.

I don't disagree, but I know quite a few religious people who would.
-
I am pretty sure the point is that they both left their faiths because atheism seemed more true to them than religion. They aren't "happy about being wrong."

If this was before Opera turned it's interface into a giant unusable clusterfuck, I'd have said I didn't like the idea. Now I don't care. Facebook can have what's left of it.

there's one server in Texas and one in the uk now. I would be up for playing a tournament.

The most disappointing part of vampirism in Elder Scrolls to me was always that feeding on people was a simple life drain spell like any other. What were they thinking?

If it's not about mature/immature, then why call it mature gameplay? If it is about challenge, call it challenging gameplay. Calling it mature just sounds pretentious imo. If your goal is to have challenge without frustration, then that is something that would appeal both to many children and adults. Hell, I know for a fact I played more frustratingly difficult games as a kid than I do today. On the other hand, I know adults who hate challenging games even if they are fair about their challenge.

Bleh. I quite frankly find the idea that we should designate certain types of gameplay as mature or immature far below us. Nothing about well-designed difficulty curves and challenges has anything to do with maturity.

Awesome! I love Cyberpunk, favourite genre of everything. That and Steampunk. I'm still waiting for someone to license Ghost In The Shell for a good RPG (how awesome would that be?), but until then this is the next best thing. Though I have to ask: What does this even mean? Mature gameplay? I mean, I get mature writing, but gameplay?

So you CAN quicksave, huh. That lets me get away with so much more dickery without making the levels impossible!
-
Your second one, the drop? The bit where you have 4 pillars with turrets on. Is bastard hard. Is it possible to put checkpoints in? Because a checkpoint just there would be great. Otherwise I have to go through the whole thing again. Which is frustrating. I liked the first one, with the lasers. That was some good puzzling. Didn't get to the third one. Because, well, you know. Checkpoints. It is not possible to put in checkpoints using the in-game editor; you'd have to do some fancy stuff in Hammer to get at that. Also I don't think you can quicksave in community maps either. Do note that The Drop is supposed to be Challenging, and Turret Tragedy is supposed to be Hard, so if people who are up for that kind of thing liked them (which they did) and people who are not up for that disliked them, I still consider that a success. Laser Run is supposed to be a more traditional puzzling affair on the sort of easy scale, so I consider that a success based on the reaction I've seen to it thus far.

VVVVVV is amazing in it's challenge and retro-like simplicity.

@TN: The text you're referring to is an update that was added after I (and I'm assuming the rest of the people commenting here) read the article.

I actually liked the flipping phones because they were impossible to accidentally unlock and dial with.

You would find your own life less meaningful because some other people would no longer live in misery?

I'm immune to the sad stories of the privileged families living in houses, driving their cars to their steady workplaces. What of the men and women sick and dying in the street? They paid their way through school, taking the same risks and making the choices they believed were right. Why is it fair that people who were dealt the wrong cards at the wrong moment should be neglected aid because those whom fortune smiled upon wants a new swimming pool? You get really annoyed when you hear some guy who's gone through all the risks and come up on top act like he couldn't just as well have had the misfortune of losing their job or having a medical crisis when their finances weren't in a position to handle it.
-
My personal main problem with the game is that the act finales are hardly the hardest parts of the game. I hear they get much harder in Hell and Inferno, but when me and Connor are running through Nightmare, it's the random world spawn bosses that kick our asses, not the climactic fights at the end of acts. If you ever see a champion or boss mob with "Vortex" in combination with "Fire Chains" or "Arcane Enchanted": run! Spoiler: Screenshot of Arcane Enchanted in action, from beta.

True, Malicious, but in the end their job is to serve their people, and they will only be elected to do so if they manage to convince enough people that they are serving the people's interests. It's not completely water-tight, but it's a hell of a lot more water-tight than expecting companies to serve the public interest in all things.
-
I believe it's the governments job to do all the things that needs doing but can't or won't be done by individuals and corporations, who usually serve their own interest.

Showing off your shiny apple tech was completely unintended, right? fanboy

Don't even try. Everyone who's seen us talk before knows who you meant.

Hmmm. I've seen this before. Too bad you can't just delete the entire conversation like you can with a status update...
