It downloads "video" the first, then "Main assets 1"(10 gigs) and, I guess "Main assets 2"(another 10 gigs?). So, 20 gigs total. Pretty big.

I'm hoping the video isn't actually just a video but shorthand for "video game". Either way I'll leave it going over night.

I'd like to give it a try at least. I think most MMO's deserve to be tried out. It's a dried up genre, so it's good to see what big hitters can do.

I've spent most of my time in co-op; not a huge fan of the MP. The maps are really nice though.

Riot Shield is great if you're playing team defender.

MP in PC version is almost unplayable because of the cheaters. When MW2 launched their numbers were relatively small.

Did you noitce they're using Morrowind exploration music in Skyrim? It's awesome. Also, now I understand what devs meant when they said that the game is probably "too big". It's fucking HUGE. I'm also surprised by the attitude of the Thieves' Guild. I've been a steam user since 2007, but I can't remember a game THIS popular.

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGH! FUCKING VERTICAL SENSITIVITY! Srsly, WHY?! WHYYYYYYYY?! Is there a config file to get rid of this console curse? Because I feel like a pig that can't look up. This is awesome, I was laughing so hard. UPD: Okay, I was too skeptical about this game, even more skeptical than it was with DX:HR. So far it's awesome.

Mine's preloading already. I wonder if a'll be able to play it a little early, because the 11th is 4,5 hours from now. The main problem with Bethesda games in Russian steam is that... well, there are none. You can't see them on steam in my region, but they can be activated. And yes, the only way to acquire DLC for Fallout 3/NV is by pirating it.

Actually, Skyrim looks better in some ways, mainly in shadows. Before Skyrim only characters had them, but now everything has it's own shadow(from what I've seen in the videos) and the picture is more pleasant. Until you get close. btw, I hope you remember this video Look at the chains and the environment and then at the final product.

Hm, that's strange, I'm pretty sure that when I launched the game the first time this option was not present. Anyway, I'll try that, because besides crashing I have a big problem with stuttering.

Played a bit more of MP with my friends. The maps are better than I thought, but I guess I'm too attached to maps from MW1-2. GLs and grenades are almost useless, as promised by the devs. How did you stop crashing?

The whole game scream REHASH, I don't undertand why people say nothing about the same animations and VO in MP. They just picked up the code from MW2, I think it was obvious from the beginning. IW is dead, and they needed to ship the game.

One of the BF3 designers said that there's same model of a certain building that appeared in every Battlefield game starting from 1942. I don't see any problems with that. Compared to blops' PC release MW3's release is quite good. Played a couple of matches in MP. Feels like a fat-free version of MW2 with maps that are far inferior to those from MW2.

Yep, pretty much my impression of the game after beating SP.

Played a bit of SP, it's the same as before: evil Russians, brave and bold Americans, the usual. I like this type of games, and SP on Veteran provides needed level of challenge. Can't say much yet. Also, the game didn't play in 1080 at first, so I had to tweak it through cfg file. Well, at least it's not like blops, which still refuses to run properly on my PC.

Yes, really good. We've been playing BF2 and BFBC2 together for more than a year now, and we use TS for communication. When you quit it counts as a loss. besides, quitting and then joining the game again is too troublesome. Right now I can't play so I just handle the server administration. Stats are tracked in real time, you can check that yourself.

So I decided to check on my friends' stats in BF3... Holy shit, can't wait to play with them like in good old days, but my PC is too weak right now.
