  1. Yep. Makes it that much more enjoyable to play now. I'm playing it with three of my friends, and we're all having a ball. And making fun of whoever is playing Fiona or Evie. I got Karok so they got nothing on me.
  2. Damn Chew, where'd you get that one from? That one is pretty epic.
  3. Where's the UI? Is it in the article? I can't seem to find it.
  4. To put it bluntly, it's Google Facebook.
  5. I think that's the reason a lot of people are rather disappointed in Kotaku now. I know I am. I was around in December '10 when the hackings slammed the Gawker network (I wasn't compromised, but changed the email and gibberished the password, never to return). Things pretty much started to go downhill from there, as far as I see. The redesign was definitely the nail in the coffin for sure, though.
  6. Fairly certain I was using warp to 0m, and that it took forever. I do remember jumping around 140+ AU through a single star system. It was quite a distance from the starting zone, and like I said I was using my starting ship (which I had basically stripped of all equipment to put onto the Cormorant) and my energy drives weren't large enough to cover the distance in a single jump. 140+? Maker... That would explain why it took awhile. Sometimes in those desolate systems it can seem like you're warping forever. Yea, I kept thinking I was going to get jumped, but then I look at the sector description and see I'm in a 0.9 zone. Pfft.
  7. Just though I'd throw this out there: http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/07/07/editorial-why-i-love-pro-gaming/ It's created quite a bit of hubbub in the starcraft sub-Reddit, the least of not it being from Kotaku (which Reddit appears to hate with unrelenting and unrestrained passion).

  9. The Cormorant is the Caldari Destroyer, not one of the Caldari Cruisers. Eh, I'm not one to care much for classifications. I had to travel through like 15 star systems to grab it, and then had to travel back the same way. It took quite a while to get there, and I was rather shocked when I found out that my old ship would be left at the station where I bought the Cormorant. I decided to take my starter ship there, which meant that it would take even longer. All in all, I think it took me over an hour to get there and back.
  10. Soundtrack is ace, seriously. And it's been a while since I've had to seriously think about tactics, heh.
  11. Yea, I admit when I tried it way back when I wasn't expecting it too be particularly enjoyable. However, within 2 days or so I was cruising around in a Cormorant cruiser. Which surprised even me.
  12. Wha? I thought I added you already, but I didn't. >_>
  13. Nah. I replaced every single part of the computer, the RAM being the last. I deleted my partitions, recreated a single one, and installed Windows on it, and it worked fine all of a sudden. So it would be safe to say it was the RAM this whole time. Bugger.
  14. Sorry for the mega-necro post, but I'd just like to inform everyone that my PC problems have been (seemingly) solved. After a lethargic six months, I appear to have fixed my PC. Only time will tell now whether or not more problems will spring up.
  15. I don't understand people who think characters in Oblivion look fine. The game itself is great, but the characters are so butt freaking ugly that it's almost mandatory to install a beauty mod to get rid of the bucket faces and plastic surgery lips. Admittedly, it was Bethesda's first game on the engine, so it's rather odd of me to expect this much out of a game that's several years old. It pales in comparison to Fallout 3's and New Vegas's characters, which I believe are a major improvement.
  16. So toss it out. It's quite obviously the property of no one in your domicile, which means it's utter trash. Then again, it is a hanger. You can use it. I have like 4 coats that I switch out depending on the weather, and I can certainly say that they end up better with the hanger instead of folding them.

    I bought Recettear today.
  18. Easy solution, ask everyone but your lazy roommate if it's theirs, and if it isn't toss it in the dumpster. Quick and simple, and he can't go after you about it unless he wants to turn himself into a douchenozzle.
  19. After playing Guild Wars for several days, I can conclude it is not working out for me. At all.

The economy in it has been suffering for years. It's become more of a chat RPG game with some PVP.

Well, it isn't that particularly. It's the fact that no matter how I approach certain enemies (see: they're fucking everywhere) me and my 8-person party get our innards plastered all over the damn walls. I've tried nearly everything, different skill combos, heroes, even microing them. No fucking dice and it's driven me to the point of ragequitting.

You just need to know what enemies to eliminate first. That's all GW is. Take two monks, a ranger, a mesmer (with all degen) and the rest fill ito ut.

  20. You know, it's kind of funny. I live fairly close to LA, but I've never actually gone to AX, ever. I've only ever gone for the LA Car Convention every few years or so.
  21. Yea, I guess so. It probably won't change the opinions of the null-sec gamers either way, but I'm fairly certain they're not going to be buying from the cash shop.
  22. Over two thousand people have already unsubscribed, and many of them apparently had more than one account. The list is quite extensive, and it's a pretty clear indication that a majority of the players are not happy with CCP.
  23. I went shopping. By myself. You know, the best kind of shopping. Where you don't have to wait for your gf to spend over an hour looking at clothes as you struggle to keep yourself awake using that jagged nail you found sitting under your seat. Mhm.
  24. I actually made decent progress during my trial run into this game. I got a Cormorant cruiser up and going before I lost interest.
