  1. I have to agree with Atomsk on Halo. Halo was almost literally the beginning of the modern FPS world as we know it. It was what brought ME into the FPS fold, too, and thats not even counting the almost legendary nature of Halo several months after it was released.
  2. Most Minecraft haters I see seem to follow this manner of thinking. It's annoying.
  3. It's absolutely mind boggling the habits that non-gaming computer users have that gets them so many viruses. I tried clearing my father's computer (he's good with computer hardware, not so much software...) and popped up three trojans almost immediately. Anyways, I don't endorse sharing in any way with something like Steam, or anything with money tied to it in such a significant form. Its nice once or twice (and even them, the circumstances are highly restricted), but ultimately its too risky and costly in the long run. Obviously the anti-sharing stance exponentially grows the larger your Steam purchased games library.
  4. It didn't cause any injuries, did it? Normally I'd be fine with people using remote control helicopters and whatnot within my house, but I generally make sure they keep it to the living room/common area only. I think people would probably have more fun with these things outdoors...
  5. I think I'll get that $90 one. That seems to be the best option I see right now. My computer right now was put together from random parts, so I guess I should have expected that the cooling might not be that great. However, I wasn't particularly aware of the small space inside it. I'll try to take some pictures when I head back to my house this weekend to replace my motherboard.
  6. Yeah.... that won't last long. Apart from things like milk n bread, and even then, you're pretty much fucked unless it's like days and people are hankering after a milky tea or slice of toast. That's where the new rule comes in: - You don't tell us you finish the food, no more food. Everyone gets to have cold pizza every single day, for every single meal, for the entire year. Except for me, of course. 'Cause I can cook.
  7. Wow. That's a lot of dosh to drop on that.
  8. It says out of stock. Haha. Other than that though, that case looks very nice. I think at this point any case is better than my current one - it can only maintain a single fan on the roof.
  9. Ok guys, new question... can anyone recommend me a new case? I'm pretty sure there aren't any "standard" manufacturers here, but I can't help but feel my computer case is a bit small (in comparison to the parts I put into it). Just curious, what are the dimensions of your cases, TAY'ers?
  10. How would one counter the argument of "Freedom of Speech" in a situation like a lecture, then? Personally, I would probably say that on government property (ie. the high school, assuming it its a public school) any rights they may have will be forfeit since they are currently government property, which allows the government the right to enforce the rules they have in place on said property.
  11. I think that's a browser-side thing. I know Chrome has an option to open every new link in either a new tab or a new window, or open within the current window - all as options, of course.
  12. Doesn't trick me. My highlight shows up in grey, not blue.
  13. Isn't the Sandy Bridge motherboard the one with the whole "locked content" thing on it? Not so sure about buying it if thats the case... I'm too accustomed to full functionality straight out of the box and I don't want to end up burning through one of those and not getting my full money's worth.
  14. Cool guide, bro. Though to this day I still don't understand what the fucking shit the stack does. Me and my friends just played ignoring that damn thing.
  15. The thing is though, "amendement" is apparently an entirely correct spelling. However, I was referring to the Amendments found in the Bill of Rights, so its a clear indication that the person correcting me has no idea how it is spelled here in America. Regardless, though... Google begs to differ.
  16. I've actually got quite a bit of money to throw down, even more so now that I have a job. Just went to paid orientation today, eff yea. Is the ASUS/MSI P67 a motherboard? I'm, uh... not up to date with the recent hardware.
  17. I remember how someone kept correcting "amendment" to "amendement" for me when I was talking in a chat. Douchetard.
  18. The original Supreme Commander's main menu theme was, in my opinion, the pinnacle of tactical military music.
  19. I prefer the term "Free to Try" to "Free to Play." Generally it's more accurate that way.
  20. Math class is almost always in absolute. That's what I see as both its advantage and disadvantage... there is only but one answer, but the methods to acquire it are generally tedious and overbearing. Uck-fay discrete mathematics.
  21. Anyone got recommendations for a motherboard, CPU, and GPU? I'm looking for reliability and capability to withstand extreme amounts of heat over anything else.
  22. Who is this Tim Rogers?

What is a Tim Rogers? A miserable giant pile of text!

  23. Needs more Clan ER PPC imo.
  24. I dunno, I was thinking of "trying it out" this weekend, you know...
