  1. omg im so making a canadian mounty skin and running around with a wolf, and calling it diefenbaker. Humming the theme song the whole time.
  2. Day 3. The Neverhood. While very popular with people who have played it, I think more people need to experience this. Day 4. COD Black Ops, Hear me out - I constantly rant to my friends about how cookie-cutter games piss me off, and people need to be more creative etc etc. The typical non-COD rant. Yet I play the hell out these games. Black Ops is the latest to make me eat my own words. I will in fact attempt to hide my status of playing these games. So I guess that makes it a guilty pleasure. I liken it to peanut butter. You could get all fancy and make a sandwich, but sometimes you just gotta use a spoon and screw the detail and depth the bread provides.
  3. When oh when will they give access to indie games to Australia. I want some fresh content damn it!
  4. Either Mr. Freeman or Nights from the original Nights. The A-Life in that game is what really expanded my idea of the possibilities of games. I would spend the whole game breeding things.
  5. So... Do you recommend it? Really can't decide on this one.
  6. First game was Dark Castle on mac classic.
  7. I did play through Arkham Asylum, and this style of game fit that environment perfectly, but now they seem to be opening it up to city exploring, I just don't think the style of game will fit. I think it would need to some crazy breed of Urban-Chaos/Hitman/Mirrors Edge. Regardless I'll be buying it and playing it through.
  8. All gamers care about is killing stuff, don't you read the news? Story line? You can't explain that.
  9. First heard about this game through these forums, that is why I love this place. I just wish they would release already, can't wait for this one.
  10. Yeh, deadly combination. If you get the Half-Zatoichi swinging sideways, its gib fest. The Gunbai fan for scout is interesting, enemies get marked for death and take mini-crits. Nasty for whizzing by a heavy entering your base, tagging them and continuing on to the enemy site, meanwhile the heavy is being cut up by a sentry.
  11. Usually when a game gets announced and then several years later release, I am really excited at the start, then I lose interest, then when the game comes out it takes me months to get it. L.A. Noire has held my interest since I first heard about it. I'm taking a week off work for this one. heh
  12. it hurts developers/publishers because old habits die hard. If you pirate because you genuinely can't afford the game, why would you suddenly stop pirating when you're just barely squeaking by? For everything that you might want, including saving more than 10% of your annual salary, there's always something that has to be cut, and choosing to cut something you can't pirate isn't going to be at the top of your list if you've already gotten into the habit of pirating. I get that there are students working their way through college that have student loans and credit card debt that get a console from Mom and Dad, and that they genuinely can't afford games for it. That doesn't make pirating morally or legally OK. That harm is speculative an indirect. If I were to pirate Big Game because I can't afford it, that doesn't hurt developer of Big Game, regardless of whether at some point in the future I might be able to afford other, different games. If however, in the future, I pirate those games I could afford rather than buying them, I have hurt those developers, and thus have committed a morally wrong act. The initial piracy, however, of Big Game was not morally wrong because no harm came of it, or at the very least only becomes wrong at the point where the habit I developed causes me to not buy a game I might otherwise have bought. I'm going to take an even stronger stance than that, however: there is nothing morally wrong with pirating any media that the pirate would not have bought anyway. There's also nothing morally wrong with someone pirating a game when its price is at an unacceptable (to them) level, and then buying the game when it reaches a level they are willing to pay. I'm not making any claims as to how many people actually behave this way, but as a theoretically matter I would say those actions are perfectly morally acceptable. Legality is an entirely different issue, of course. I generally take a fairly anti-piracy stance, but there is one point that holds true which you've mentioned.. If I can't afford to buy a game, there is no difference in cash flow to the developer if I pirate it or not. Either way I'm not buying it.
  13. If you were commenting on my list. I have my reasons. I've had many androids, I have some fundamental issues with the way the devices are modified by carriers. The only android I use regularly is the nook. I think he was complaining about the Poll Ahh I see, but they are there. they are all grouped under "Other" There are too many to list!
  14. I can't believe I havent seen this before. I just went and watched a tech demo on youtube.. that is freakin awesome.

  16. Microsoft execs must be high-fiving themselves over that! I mean, you've convinced the guy it's worth $10 to change his gamertag because he's already decided he's going to support your consoles and services until he dies. Wow. I've been pestering support about this for ages. Glad this is finally happening. My original gamertag which I applied for on xbox, and lost access to the mail, I've been unable to claim this tag back. Hopefully I can finally get it back. I can't believe it. Some bastard already took mine Are you sure it wasn't you who already took it? They're not freeing them all up right away, it's a staged process, so yours might not have been freed up yet. Yeh, I've been checking it for years, and its obviously been an old xbox one as it was a blank profile. Now it's a fully populated profile with gamerscore etc. The guy seems to have just got it because it was the same as his PSN tag.
  17. Anyone on here from Australia or near by? I need more people to play with. steam id: tastycrumpet
  18. I still have my Amiga 500 sitting in my other room. And good news for you Amiga guys - Speed ball! on the iPhone was released, It holds pretty faithful to the original too, and brings back loads of memories playing it.

  21. I can't believe they made the iPad 2 round on back. edges were so nice

  22. Big problem for lots of people. You go into the dream land with chesty, and then apparently there are bad guys stuck in walls that you can't kill - thats the theory anyway, because the mission doesnt proceed until you kill them all. Yes I've tried blasting magic everywhere, on every square inch of wall, nothing. Essentially stuck in there with nothing to do, no one to talk to, no way out. Incredibly frustrating.
  23. Man this means I will be able to play 24/7! even on the train home from work. awesome... go life! But seriously, if they pull this off well, it will boost the games popularity so much. Any word on multiplayer?
  24. Just to throw some more strangeness into the mix. The reason I haven't been on for a month or so is that I was experiencing the same things but worse. It would take 10 to 15 tries to connect to the server, when I did finally get on I would have chat lag of 5 mins or so, and chunks would take over a minute to load. No it's not a connection issue. However, since the update this has all been resolved, right around the time that rtar started getting the issue. Strange no?
  25. uploaded cartograph. has really borked the smoovesomian for me now. /me is sorry.
