This SOPA hearing has been interesting. Not sure I'll be able to follow to the end, they've stated they'll be going into the night. That's early morning for me.
Basically the main players are:
Rep. Issa, Rep. Lofgren, Rep. "Bring in the Nerds" Chaffetz and two others I'm unsure of* (the video is really small, I can't read all names) are on the anti-SOPA side. They've being trying to push many amendments and I think ultimately aim to delay the bill in order to bring in more expert debate. They've brought up the fact it won't actually work at all (both with the existence of TOR, the fact taking DNS and searches doesn't take down the site), how it can't touch Int'l sites, it potentially weakens cyber security, and going for the prude angle with the Porn thing(porn is legal, it's also heavily pirated and SOPA would make attorney general working for porn studios)
Then you have Rep Watts and Rep "I'm bored, let's just pass it" Waters. On the..I don't know what side. Obviously want to push it, but unsure if they're helping or hindering it.
btw, what is "yeild"ing?
*Sanchez-Lee, and what I think is Rep Brandez(Blonchez?). He's the guy who submitted "The Internet is for Porn".
edit 2. He's Polis, the "internet is for porn" guy.
