  1. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-16224394 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yes I understand that we're technically a Christian nation what with the Church of England n all but I think it's pretty damn wrong in this day and age to suggest that morality requires religion, even worse to imply Christianity of all religions is the one to go for. Bit like communism, yeah on paper it looks a good idea, in practice... I'm not offended that he'd put one religion above any other, I'm just offended at the implication that it's a lack of religion that has led to "broken britian". Maybe if they didn't rely on mythical beings in the sky and did some proper politicking instead? The last PM to introduce The Lord into his political life took the UK to war with Iraq, which is precisely why "politicians shouldn't 'do God'". I'm fine if Queen Liz wants to stand up and say something, she's head of the church after all. And I'm fine for PM to acknowledge the historical significance of the King James Bible. But it's exactly that, it's historical. It's a 2000 year old book and largely outdated as far as modern morals and values go.
  2. Zoe Lofgren, aka representative from Silicon Valley has done a reddit AMA http://www.reddit.com/r/SOPA/comments/nfhhy/member_of_house_judiciary_committee_ama_on_sopa/ If you wish to have a peruse.
  3. This is 1963. KFC was founded in '52.
  4. Good argument. (Though if you do buy yourself a game on the wishlist, as long as you have more than one game there should still be stuff for the secret santa to pick up)
  5. Well at least maybe a "Well you've seen that trailer for the VGA masses, here's one just for the web that shows off that RPG side we've been saying will be more prominent in ME3". It's a bit hard to take them on their whole "we heard you felt ME2 wasn't RPG enough, so here's some multi-player and a dude running around from giant lasers"
  6. Nah they're throw it all in for current purchasers. (also you can add more to how much you spent too) Just click the download link they sent you and the soundtracks are all there
  7. Awesome news regarding SOPA. With the reaction of "I'm bored, let's just push this bill through already" I was afraid it'd just be pushed through. Then again 2012 is only a matter of weeks away, but it does provide time for folks to bulk up opposition some more. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jared_Polis - this guy alone is like. wow. He's a gay father who has founded several web start-ups. (Which also means he has a somewhat personal experience and stake) Oh and guess the representative from Silicon Valley (it's only fair to point that one out since the others are all highlighted on the left)
  8. Nice photos, slightly diminished by the whole "zoo, zoo, zoo, zoo, zoo" thing. (Also it's fucking retarded that a click on the background and you're back to the top again. I hate, hate, hate when any site does anything vaguely interactive with the whitespace.) edit:
  9. I suggest you dig deeper, or outwards from main shaft then if you're struggling for ore. Also it doesn't matter if your dwarves don't have their own beds/bedrooms as long as there's enough that a sizeable percentage can sleep at any given time. Though making beds is fairly simple if you have a surplus of rock so I don't see the reason not too. I usually have an entire floor dedicated to sleeping, with a few grander rooms for the upper class/mayors n shit to sleep in.
  10. Yeah I'm up for moving it back. Means we can purchase better/more gifts if they're cheaper. I'd be up for even suggesting 31st Dec. I'm sure it doesn't need to be for Xmas day.
  11. So MadBass mentioned going to a "White Elephant party". I had to do some googling cos "I'm going to a carboot party" seemed a bit odd. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_elephant_sale vs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_elephant_gift_exchange
  12. So I've only just seen the VGA trailer. Gotta say it's looking like one mighty fine RPG.

Seems no matter how unpopular a new bill is with the people, it gets shoved through...

"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."

John F. Kennedy, In a speech at the White House, 1962

  13. Fuck it. Closing the SOPA stream. I predict that all amendments put forth will be struck down, and the unamended SOPA bill will be voted in. And then a sad and terrible form of hilarity will ensue.
  14. I also tweeted As well as https://twitter.com/...454927562752000 and https://twitter.com/...448653949304833 This SOPA hearing has been interesting. Not sure I'll be able to follow to the end, they've stated they'll be going into the night. That's early morning for me. Basically the main players are: Rep. Issa, Rep. Lofgren, Rep. "Bring in the Nerds" Chaffetz and two others I'm unsure of* (the video is really small, I can't read all names) are on the anti-SOPA side. They've being trying to push many amendments and I think ultimately aim to delay the bill in order to bring in more expert debate. They've brought up the fact it won't actually work at all (both with the existence of TOR, the fact taking DNS and searches doesn't take down the site), how it can't touch Int'l sites, it potentially weakens cyber security, and going for the prude angle with the Porn thing(porn is legal, it's also heavily pirated and SOPA would make attorney general working for porn studios) Then you have Rep Watts and Rep "I'm bored, let's just pass it" Waters. On the..I don't know what side. Obviously want to push it, but unsure if they're helping or hindering it. btw, what is "yeild"ing? *Sanchez-Lee, and what I think is Rep Brandez(Blonchez?). He's the guy who submitted "The Internet is for Porn". edit 2. He's Polis, the "internet is for porn" guy.

  16. So you guys know the icEnhancer thing for GTA 4? Well he's working on Skyrim
  17. The foam filling is only a temporary measure btw. It's pretty much a "this will keep you going for a few hours, that few hours is to get the wheel changed". They're in some commercial cars too, higher end stuff, rally cars also use them. The bridgestone stuff is practically zero maintenance, which as you can see their first market is mobility scooters. Since they're used mainly be old people, having low maintenance is good for that kind of thing.
  18. I've about 60 saves at the moment. Also the game makes a save for the moment before the character creator. Oh PC version also makes back ups too, so that's nice. 3 auto-saves, 1 quick save slot, any others you want, and the back ups. Can't say it's skimping on save slots.
  19. First image looks like I am Legend. It's sounding a bit "Day of the Triffids" (there was a recent TV movie, worth a watch)
  20. Probably way tool late to mention now but: Should refresh every few minutes as you're typing, then if you lose the tab, refresh, whatever, then you click it and "Restore Content".
  21. Not at all. There was a reason I allowed her to die at Virmire. That particular moment in ME2 where you meet again does somewhat make you go "ungrateful bastard" but I hear it's "ungrateful bitch" on the other side too.
  22. I'll write it in your native tongue then it should be clearer. *ahem*: So it seems that presently you declare to be more "cerebrally inclined", one did not assume that they would cause offence to the rif-raf? Too intellectually bereft to comprehend the wording you have chosen? The benevolent Lord of the Manor, Sir Snooty and his companions are not one to take umbrage at the disrespect of the servants? I am the picture of surprise!
