  1. "Official Nintendo Magazine" >_> I doubt it'll be a bad game. I just always thought it silly that these guys review first-party games.
  2. MHT and Muramasa are RPGs. I don't like either of them, but they are. Forgot about those. But yeah, there aren't any RPGs on the Wii I want to play. I just assumed my posts didn't need an opinion tag. P: Arc Rise Fantasia had potential, but a couple particularly glaring design issues and Ignition's dub ruined it.
  3. Oh, forgot Fire Emblem for Wii. Also forgot it for Gamecube. There was also the Skies of Arcadia release and Tales of Symphonia for Gamecube. This is just touching RPGs, of course. I haven't really found a game on Wii that truly enthralled me. SMG tried, and it was a commendable attempt. Just never got there. And Sakura Wars V launched on PS2 at the same time as the Wii, so I couldn't justify the Wii version.
  4. @HH: Both http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6P-BvaPm1OM
  5. @Vargras: There's also Baten Kaitos, Baten Kaitos Origins and Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. The Wii has no good RPGs released in the Americas outside of Sakura Wars V(I know Eternal Darkness isn't an RPG). : \ Guess that could be directed toward P4, too.
  6. Poor Thursday has been reduced to self-deception.
  7. Well, this is certainly taking a turn from the thread's original topic. I went with the PS3 this generation because it has the best console hardware and games I want to play. That simple. It wasn't really a stab at Nintendo(after selling their console). I just made a poor decision in being an early adopter. Honestly, I feel sort of distant wrt the whole core vs. casual discussion. Not because it doesn't affect me, or because it's never left me incensed. But at this point, I've completely stopped following E3, GDC and most all press conferences. It just leaves me agitated and underwhelmed. The conferences make me feel like I'm watching a flock of birds that don't know what the hell they're doing so they're reduced to colliding mid-air and talking about how astounding their new DLC and Facebook programs are.
  8. I understand. I was really only responding to what you said to me. 'Cause I didn't understand what you were trying to get across.
  9. Not sure I get you there, Atom. Initially, I thought it was understood that we didn't actually "love" Nintendo. Then I saw that some people did. Which is fine. I'm just clarifying my position.
  10. Replace "loving Nintendo" with "buying Nintendo's shit".
  11. Yes, Nintendo does what other companies do not. And that's why it's bothersome that the Wii has such poor library composition. : \ Even considering that many good titles on the PS3 and 360 are multiplatform, having one of those yields more than the Wii. Arguably with exclusives, too.
  12. Not going to argue preference, but I put forth a damn genuine search. There were games like Elebits, Metroid, Rune Factory(sorta), Sin & Punishment, Kirby's Epic Yarn and Twilight Princess(sorta). Still, I shouldn't need to go spelunking to find a decent video game.
  13. Yeah, I know. It's just... I can't insist on it because that's like insisting Half-Life's plot would hold water. Sometimes, it's just better to ignore it. I try(ied) to approach the Zelda titles as individual releases.
  14. I'm finding it really hard to not purchase the shiny bauble. Because after playing the beta, I know these scenes of super-cinematic showdown time aren't something you won't regularly encounter. Hopefully it'll make it to the Get Games library. They've some great deals on new releases.
  15. Went back five pages and I don't see this, so I don't think I posted it. Found the Atelier Iris ~Eternal Mana 2~ CE on eBay for 30 dollars shipped. Could not pass it up. The box is a cube, so all sides are as large as what's shown there.
  16. I waited fourteen hours for the Wii. Worst gaming decision of my life. Been an adamant fan since the NES, only to have any faith shattered by what was a poor launch and what remains — with few exceptions(x: HH) — a poor library. Nintendo did their thing with sufficient marketing to casual players, and that's fine. The trouble is that the salvo of casual games alienated most "gamers" which alienated most non-casual developers which alienated me. And really, the motion controllers(Wii Remote, Kinect and Move) are all needless and mostly poorly realized crap anyway.
  17. If I had a Wii, I would be all over this... though I'm a bit frightened it'll be another pedestrian adventure game. The DS titles, and TP to an extent, have somewhat soured my love for the world. Going to attempt to play it with my sister-in-law.
  18. Who wants to go through 44 pages of pictures? XD
  19. Because we need to kill zombies with fire. No pun intended. Fuck, I'm sick of the tired concept. And you know, Duke, that shit just happens. Often. It's one reason why I hardly ever trust reviews.
  20. I used to be a stalwart Nintendo fan. You know, until the whole "Let's cease with the quality video games and instead focus on forcing every novelty of our novelty devices into our software." And as colossal a Zelda fan as I was, I can't say I ever saw the whole issue of continuity as anything more than a tenuous connection of red yarn by folk who had to preserve the idea of games being canon. I mean, really. I'd love for there to be some timeline, but everything released is either nebulous or so poorly connected that to suggest a timeline makes me feel bad for the franchise and its creators.
  21. I'm befriending a horde of folk who run slower than I do.
  22. Getting all of the trophies/endings for Atelier Totori and Acceleration of Suguri-X. Also a bit of Saints Row 2 co-op.
