I enjoyed it quite a bit as well. The rubberband AI is only bad 'til you get really good at the game. Then it doesn't matter because you can play well enough that your opponents are never given an opportunity to overtake you. Personally, I wish they would just ditch the rubberbanding altogether and simply ratchet up the AI difficulty to compensate. It's not really much fun anymore when you feel like you're racing the track more than you are other drivers. If I wanted that, I'd go play GT5. Still, it's classic NFS goodness. Really love the weight of the cars this time around as well. Doesn't feel like I'm in a matchbox toy anymore. Needs more Elise/Evora though. The lack of Lotus makes me sad.

I'm partial to the Academy of Interactive Arts and Science Awards myself. As for the VGAs, I thought they were pretty good for a mainstream production. Still a few things to nit pick over, but overall, a solid production imo. My biggest gripe wasn't even with the show itself, but the shortlist of games to vote on. It focused more on, "What are the best selling games this year with the highest metacritic score" as opposed to titles that felt truly deserving. At least, that's my $0.02.

Bejeweled 3, WoW: Cataclysm. Been neglecting GT5 and Minecraft, and Super Meat Boy is just sitting there with no desire to be played. I might get around to it once I get all my Bejeweled badges and Cata stops being new and shiny.

Heavy Rain, God of War 3, and Enslaved make my shortlist.

Thank God you've been to the future, played this game, and know everything about it to give us your opinion while the rest of us can only draw logical conclusions based on a 30 second clip we've seen. @OP: Couldn't have said it better myself. Most of my remarks about the game thus far have echoed a lot of what you've said.
