    Does anyone else find it ironic that Michael Pachter, of all people, is calling Nintendo irrelevant? Dude couldn't predict his way out of a paper bag.

      Yeah, BO2 sales were lower than previous CODs and given COD accounts for a pretty serious chunk of Activisions income it worries investors if it looks like it'll repeat Guitar Hero since I doubt Skylanders can deflect the blow like COD could with GH.

      From an investors standpoint Nintendo are pretty weak at the moment, they're on constant all time lows, dropping profit forecasts n so on. IT's doubtful they'll hit the Wii's hey days again.

    LOL @ the TIME editor that decided Cloud Atlas was the worst movie of the year when Battlehship, Red Dawn, Twilight, etc. are actually poorly made films. The worst you could say about Cloud Atlas is it tried something bold and failed.

      Maybe he just thinks its the worst movie of the year because it failed to deliver on such a high level concept whereas the other ones were shit concepts and thus in turn were shit movies.

       

      I've read the book and haven't seen the film. From what I understand it gets some things right and some things wrong so it's really enjoyable in some ways and not in others. So basically it's Far Cry 2: The Movie.

    Skyfall. The actors do a fine job, but it felt like it was more focused on paying homage to the Bond legacy than actually making a good story. The nostalgic wankery ruined a lot of the movie for me.

    Forgot to mention that I saw The Man with the Iron Fists. Fantastic kung fu film. The acting is ridiculous and there's not much of a story, but everyone is clearly having a blast, and the action is incredible.
