Even if its take on time travel isn't the "norm", I prefer it because it's easily the most interesting way anyone's ever portrayed the concept. But I know some people disagree with me and think Back to the Future is a good movie, so "most interesting" or "best" use of time travel is debatable. -

I'm attempting to learn how to create my first game. I'll be using Unity, and I have no prior knowledge of anything of the sort. Wish me luck.

I haven't really used Unity but the other day, I did load it up in one of the labs. It seems pretty intuitive at a quick glance so for level design, I'd say you're probably ok. I'm not sure how successful you'll be going for a whole game on your own though. I'd suggest starting smaller and making a few mods for different games first.

It's a 2D action/platformer similar to Clock Tower. And yeah, I probably should start small.

I'm pretty sure Konami is closer to death. They've been very bad at marketing/releasing their games this year, and the only real ace in the hole that's still going strong for them is Metal Gear Solid.

I've thought about switching to Linux before (especially since Windows 8 might not be so hot), but then I look at my Steam library and go "Oh, right, THIS is why I'm here."

Why get Windows 8 though? I can assure you right now, a big portion of geeks won't switch until Windows 9. I mean the MS OS always works in intervals of two in terms of awesome. Windows ME [sucked], Windows XP [awesome], Windows Vista [sucked], Windows 7 [awesome], Windows 8[??=probs sucks], Windows 9[awesome]

That's a problem that goes beyond just Chick-Fil-A. Until it's classified as discrimination on a federal level (and why the fuck is it not already?) then it will take more than not buying chicken to fix it. Chick-Fil-A did publicly state that they do not condone harassment amongst their employees and that if anyone was being discriminated against they should speak up to management or, if necessary, upper management. Who knows if they actually mean it but at least it's in the public record now. That's the biggest reason why I don't want Romney for president (besides his ineptitude of course). I feel like if we have another four years with Obama, we really have a chance of giving LGBT citizens the same rights everyone else has.

I've been playing a lot of it solo and it is indeed solo friendly.

All depends on the quality for me. If there's a good American dub, like Persona 4 or Metal Gear Solid, that's what I go with. However, if the dub makes me want to claw my ears out like the English track on The Raid: Redemption's Blu-Ray (that one also had a double whammy of a default "improved" score by one of the Linkin Park members), I IMMEDIATELY close out as fast as possible, dig through the settings and switch it to the native language and turn on subtitles.
