  1. Borderlands 2 unlocks at midnight. The kid in me screams to stay up all night and play that sucker, but the adult in me rationalizes that I get a good night's sleep, go to my one class for the day, homework/study up and THEN jump into Pandora.

wait, you only have one class? Why bother getting dressed then? You can miss on one class!

Eh, even if I was getting on PC I have work in the morning. A job isn't something you would want to risk "lack of sleep." For me it would mean, "Hey, check out these third degree burns, ma!"

The kid in me says, "DAMN YOU, YANKS". The adult in me says, "I wonder if a proxy server will allow me to activate the game earlier as it did with ME3..."

  2. Yup. Modern holy figures are all up on their technology.
  3. Did I mention V/H/S here before? Because that movie is one of the best horror movies I've seen in a long time. It's loads of fun.
  4. Dalai Lama posted this to Facebook on the 10th: "All the world’s major religions, with their emphasis on love, compassion, patience, tolerance, and forgiveness can and do promote inner values. But the reality of the world today is that grounding ethics in religion is no longer adequate. This is why I am increasingly convinced that the time has come to find a way of thinking about spirituality and ethics beyond religion altogether."
  5. Yeah, it shows that the tool can be used for more than recreating scenes from movies; I think that in the right hands, it could truly be a boon for someone who wants to tell a story but doesn't have the budget/resources to make it happen otherwise.
  6. Well, there was that one time that I had stayed up for so many hours that I started to see apparitions... Maybe they were there, and my foolish lack of sleep was only a coincidence. But I doubt creatures that look like the freaky shaky things from Silent Hill are really roaming the ethereal plane.
  7. People can believe whatever they want to believe. I'm hardly someone who goes out in public and chides people for believing in God; if anything most of the strong anti-religious reactions from people happen because someone mocks/insults atheists or agnostics for not believing in their god or a god, or cretins try to impose their beliefs on others because "God would've wanted it that way".
  8. Heh, sorry if it's been coming on a little strong lately. The video I posted also isn't something attacking religion itself; it's just saying that we shouldn't defend a group that covers up child molestation.
  9. http://thinkprogress.org/security/2012/09/12/833301/romney-obama-sympathize-attackers-libya-egypt/ Leave it to Mitt Romney to try and take advantage of a tragedy, spreading misinformation and false accusations. What a classy human being.
  10. Haha, my thought process, too. Not sure they can do anything to not make it sound absolutely ridiculous. I smirk at the thought of a kidnapper saying "Pay us in bitcoins."

Stupid Americans. Today is 9/9. Get it right.

  12. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=490273 Oh yeah, hoping your favorite developers don't do well so their games never change is TOTALLY rational.

if it wasn't successful, they would have also changed it. or worse, they would have gone out of business.

Yeah I'm with 6624, the logic is fairly sound. Many games that achieve mainstream success tend to have sequels tailored to the book to gain more at expense of niche.

And there's plenty of titles that get by comfortably targeting a rather specific niche. Like the Paradox grand strategies, very unforgiving so won't be getting much mainstream appeal.

  13. Pretty much my mother's response to last night's speech by Clinton: "That's slick Willy for ya, always with the smooth talk"
  14. Ahaahahahaha ">Went to Mcdonalds >bought medium fries >given far too much money back that's not the change i voted for.."
  15. Hey guys, if you own an iOS anything, buy Super Hexagon. I mean it. And later it's coming to PC/Android so you won't have an excuse. It's the best thing since sliced bread.

Oh god, that game! Cavanagh is awesome, but while it's fun for a bit, I think the web version is more than enough for me. Maybe Johnny'd be interested since he can actually beat it in a day?

  16. There is no one source you can trust in. The only way to truly get a reliable base of knowledge is reading the same stories from multiple sources. That being said, even though it's a British paper, I've been reading more and more of The Guardian lately. They cover American politics/issues well, and when I compare their stories to other stories, they usually don't seem to leave or twist details in a substantial way. EDIT: http://www.smirkingc...ass-got-shafted Interesting interview. EDIT 2: That was a very unfortunate URL shortening job, forum.
  17. Well, in 2008 Chuck released a similar video saying that if Romney got elected, he would "buy the White House". Oddly enough, he hasn't repeated that same accusation this election season...
