  1. I beat Skyward Sword a few days ago. Really enjoyed it! A few complaints here and there, but more of personal choices. I doubt I can, but I'm gonna try to squeeze in another game before the year ends. Who else is trying to beat a game before 2012 rolls in?
  2. HOW I DO LAUNDRY? LOL I DUNNO ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  3. Valkyria Chronicles Design Archive. As you can see it's pretty big! It's filled with a lot of content, you can see the loving crafting detail they gave to character designs and lots of rejected concepts which are pretty neat to look at. Kind of makes you wonder, what the hell happened in Valkyria Chronicles 2? Ok so I haven't played it, but from what I've seen it feels completely different (style-wise). I'm just rambling now though, this artbook is pretty awesome, for $23 I'd say it was worth it. Looking forward to Shigenori Soejima's Artworks and Persona 3 & 4 Design Archives. Udon entertainment books, keep it up!
  4. Who knew Skyrim's Dragons had a sense of humor?
  5. I've become so shit at Brawl that the game grants me a Final Smash when ALL the items are disabled. I'm a f*cking disgrace :C

Ugh the room references make me cringe now. There's no way of avoiding sounding like a hipster, but I liked it better when it was obscure.

  8. Long rant INCOMING. I know it's my fault for wanting to sleep super early (7:50 PM), but one of my roomates left his laptop on blasting some "Purupururin" song while pointing directly at my door. I think it's from "Welcome to the NHK" if I remember right. They've been acting kind of douchey towards me and it's getting slightly annoying, it's not their "subtle insults" but their stupidity that annoys the shit out of me. We were talking once and he said this to me "I AM A PRODUCT OF THE INTERNET. I DO IT FOR THE LULZ" I asked him if he knew what .zip/.rar file was and he had no idea. I asked him to explain to me how torrenting works and did not know either. He claims he came up with "I do it for the lulz" on his own and the he has never heard it being used by other people other than his friends. This is sad, because I actually like him, he's a nice kid, but he's a stupid sheep. They have been bringing guests more frequently, I don't particularly like most of them, but I don't make a case out of it. However some nights ago (and recently) they brought a new guest who I can now safely say is of hispanic/mexican descent and can not speak 2 sentences without saying the word "Nigga" 2-3 times. This went on for a long night. Some weeks ago I had dressed up rather nicely to go to my class, there's no real purpose to it just a change of pace (I'd do it everyday if I had more suits and dress shirts though!) when I came back from class they felt the need to point out my outfit. For some reason everytime I wear my winter jackets or a shirt or hell even a sweater they think I'm dressing "fancy". Anywho, he and the other annoying roomate, started talking loudly while I was trying to watch a show on my laptop. They were pretty much criticizing my outfit and calling me a pretentious, conceited dick. I'm guessing they thought they were being "subtle" and smart? The next morning I had gone to do volunteer work at the Biosphere 2, my roomates usually leave on the weekends to go back to their homes (so they can get their laundry done...), sometime in the morning he texted me if I could (once again) lend him my router, set it up to his preferred SSID name and password so he can just plug it in and use it. I'm not one to throw a drama fit with other people, but this was highly aggravating. I came back and decided to just go to my room and chill out. In just 20 minutes he started calling me out "GEORGE! GEORGE! GEORGE! GEEEEOOOOORGE! GEEEEEORGE! GEORGE!". Charming the first few times, annoying after 5 minutes. He proceeded to knock loudly on my door for a good while and ignored him while increasing the volume on my laptop, mind you I tried to keep my composure, but it might have been the work I had done earlier that made loose my patience. "Get a goddamn clue and FUCK OFF!". What can I say? It really bothers me how someone can think that being two faced and acting silly will make everything okay. He's been acting more douchey towards me since then, I can only hope that that attitude actually comes from himself and not some influence from another one of his "friends", that would actually indicate he's not as stupid as he is. I think I've said enough, next time I'll talk about my PS3 usage and electricity bills, along with some "cleaning" issues."
  9. I will now associate you with that FABULOUS evil man. You must rid yourself of that pink dark knight and put said evil man as an avatar.
  10. Welp, I just caught up with you guys, it was a fun battle, I had more trouble on the first part for some reason though. Actually, I died 2 times! Haha I suck. Just got out of there, broke a chandelier and delivered some soup, gonna take a break and continue on <:
  11. Scumbag brain: Full of energy and excitement, wakes me up at 3:00 A.M. Plays basic tutorials and urgently demands sleep
  12. Internal politics? how does that work out? I can only imagine your organs fighting over some sort of bill or law. It's 8:00 Am right now with me, I'm gonna cook my self some eggs and play some other games then head out to BestBuy, excitement still present! Ahaha... I passed out on MGSHD for this, so yes I'm also lookin' forward to geekin' out. There's still some guilt over not having finished some quests in TP, but school's been kicking my ass as of late. Have patience with me though, this is my 2nd LoZ and I'm a slow learner! (12 hours in, I'm finally starting to understand Resonance of Fate's mechanics)
  13. Okay so! The last trailer I watched was something for upgrading items or fetch quests or somethin', I remember Rockyryan mentioning that it wasn't a good pitch trailer because it made it look boring and I had agreed. HOWEVER! I'm still pretty excited, I've heard tiny bits of the music and it has given me continuos eargasms, my only regret is that my headset is not compatible with the wii and my TV speakers are not that great. I've only seen GT's review and well... yep, I feel like I'm not as excited as I should be, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it nonetheless. I got SUPER lucky on Saturday, went to three Gamestops and none were taking pre-orders for the wii remote bundle, but BestBuy saved the day, I'm already awake so I'll probably kill time 'til 10:00 AM. I ended up skipping a couple of posts in this thread, sorry mates, but I'm staying as clean as I can. Anywho, I think the excitement is finally settling in, I woke up at 3:00 AM and haven't been able to go back to sleep (granted I fell asleep at 10:30 on a Saturday... EXCITING TIMES). I'm also really worried about purchasing it though, I hadn't been able to save up so I'm using income that's meant for food and gasoline so I can go back to the parents on the upcoming turkey week, my stomach is crying, but my brain is excited. This better be worth it guys c:

Bethesda usually doesn't fix bugs if they're entertaining. One of the goofier ones they had during an earlier build actually had them repeatedly getting arrested for stealing, even if no one saw them. Turns out the chickens were reporting them to the guards.

  16. Man, that Ace Combat game looks like a lot of fun... Don't worry wallet! I won't let you starve :C

  17. Well it's actually my first Legend of Zelda game, I've mostly always seen my friends play the games, but for whatever reason I never played one before. Also worth mentioning, although I never did play any other games, I always found LoZ's story pretty dang interesting, from time to time I'd read summaries and personal re-tellings of the stories. With that out of the way I now understand everyone's fascination with the series, there's just so much to do and interesting puzzles to solve and for a protagonist who does not speak, there's a surprising feeling of immersion. Unfortunately I do have my qualms with it, not major ones, but still threw me off. I just mentioned that immersion was good, buuuut at some points it was hard for me to care about certain things, I'm the type of guy who, if not rushed or under a time limit, I actually take my time to use first person view and look at the scenery, Twilight Princess is a real pretty lookin' game, found myself doing menial things sometimes. Any who, I lost interest in detail after taking on the task of hunting for the twilight mirror shards, I just rushed through as fast as I could so I could see the next event in the story. The Mansion in the snow mountains was slightly annoying and puzzles weren't exactly fun. The temple of time also kind of bothered me, it was fun after I had to go through the whole ordeal of finding the Dominion Rod. Sky temple felt shorter, but the puzzles and rewards felt satisfying, after that I just had a blast in the Twilight Realm and Hyrule Castle, I felt like I was the Hero Chosen by the Gods once again. Another personal annoyance of mine that shouldn't be taken seriously, is the limits of my wallet, I was able to expand it to 600 Rupees and I'm fine with not being able to carry more (until I find more golden bugs!), but I would always rage and throw a few fffff bombs whenever I went through a tedious task of getting to a chest and what is it? An orange rupee. That I CAN'T CARRY. It's weird to some, but seeing that there is a chest I have not opened in the map bothers me more than it probably should. Later I found myself just donning the Magic armor and waiting for my rupees to deplete. My other qualm were some of the controls, I have a pretty tough time doing Shield Attacks, I often find myself doing a charged spin instead. The other is any action that requires a precise spot and the use of the A button. I constantly rammed link into doors or wall or chest, but that could also be blamed on me, I'd like to think that it was a bit tedious having to stand right in front of the chest to open it. Camera control felt allright too, sometimes annoying when I was trying to turn the camera and ended up Locking on to an enemy. Clocking in almost 50 hours (about 47-48 hours) I didn't finish a couple of sidequests, many chests were left "unopened" (lies!) and I have not gone very deep in the Cave of Ordeals, a challenge I plan on taking on soon. I thoroughly enjoyed Twilight Princess and I have been thinking of playing other entries in the series (Mainly A Link to the Past, WindWaker, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.) but as of right now I'm mostly looking forward to Skyward Sword, I'm keeping myself spoiler free and not watching many trailers, so it should be a really fun adventure.
  18. Hey you guys! I Just beat Twilight Princess! 4 years late to the party Ready for Skyward Sword :>

  22. I watched P4A episode 1 and I found it very enjoyable. the story's obviously rushed, the game itself takes course of 1+ year, condensing this in 25 episodes is a tough task while maintaining quality all around. The anime seems to include plenty of references to the game itself, opening with the game's theme (Pursuing my true self), using the calendar day by day transitions and the commercial break eyecatch shows our protagonist's (Yuu Narukami) "Stats" just like in the game. I was actually pleasantly surprised to see that they kept our protagonist so blank and bland, it feels just like the game. Unfortunately this will also confuse people who have never played the game and are just being introduced to it, by the anime. It seems like the anime is trying to introduce new people to the world of Persona, while keeping those who already experienced the game satisfied. It's pretty clear that Yuu is going to grow in character, I'm interested to see what kind of relationships he'll establish and how they'll be carried out, if all traits are worked on we'll most likely end up with a Heroic Sage who's Enthralling, Saintly and Rock Solid. As optimistic as I am, there are a couple of flaws that bothered me, mainly the "Comical" use of expression marks and some sound effects. Was it really necessary to give Yosuke an "air wooshing" sound as he waved? I know I'm being really picky, but it just felt weird and would somewhat kill the atmosphere. Enough about Persona 4. I got 1 month of Hulu Plus and just began watching "Eden of the East". I had already at least 3 people recommend it to me and man am I glad I did. I literary just started watching it about 2 hours ago and I'm enjoying every minute of it. Can't wait to see what happens next.
  23. Also gonna try this on the PS3, never really got into MMOs so this might be a fun experience, other friends (old clanmates) are already telling me should all play together, there's nothing like playing a game with friends :>
  24. Finished Nichijou today. I didn't laugh as much as the penultimate episode, but all in all it felt good. Sekiguchi, talk damn you! Also finished Blood-C, I'd like to share a few thoughts! If any of you gave this a chance and dropped it early on, it's totally understandable. Blood-C starts off at a very slow pace, things somewhat pick up around episode 5, but those first episodes are enough to turn anyone away. They basically consist of a simple formula of: "Saya walks to school and sings a song. Stops at a cafe for breakfast and is given "subtle" hints from the owner. Peaceful days at school with cute and odd classmates. Hears more "subtle hints" about people disappearing. Later that night she goes into badass mode and kills some monsters known as "Elder Bairns" (Ancient Ones).Other characters give her cryptic advice/plot development." Add some broken flashbacks all throughout her day and that's the basic gist of it. Somewhere after episode 5 (or so) there's more badass monster killing and deaths. Some spoilers ahead! (No character names) This 12 episode build-up for the movie is a good "mood setter", it's clear now that it's not meant to be seen as a series, but as an introduction to the upcoming "Blood-C The Movie". I'm glad I stuck with it, I almost dropped it. This is subjective to people, but the way this story was told can be considered as awful directing. Some would consider it "trolling" as most of the build-up is told through seriously cryptic hints and sudden deaths and everything is (somewhat) explained in less than 3 episodes right at the end. Personally, I can understand this take on direction, the slow start feels worth the wait at the end and has definitely build up excitement for the movie. I also have to mention the music, it's mostly "generic" anime background themes, but throughout the "battle theme" makes some slight evolutions and ends up being a delightful theme, looking forward to the OST!
