  1. Change of subject but before I forget my Blizzard ID is MisterJack#1957 in case anyone wanted it.
  2. I feel like Amon is either working for someone or will end up being replaced by someone in season 2. As much as he personally gets his hands dirty, he'd have to be the most baddest of asses to keep his actions from catching up with him for almost 24 episodes.
  3. Let me rephrase it then. You could play either a "connected" or a "non-connected" character.
  4. They haven't outright said it yet, but they sure as hell are implying it. Aang fought someone named Yakone in his adult life who was apparently dangerous enough to threaten the whole city. Aang defeated him through currently unknown means, but it was implied that his methods were rather extreme. I'm sure Aang doesn't WANT to kill anyone, but suppose energybending wasn't an option? Maybe he got backed into a corner and was ultimately left with no choice.
  5. I have this suspicion that at some point in the adult Aang's life he ran into a situation where he had to compromise his principles and fight with the intent to kill.
  6. At least they got rid of that horrible 3DS analog nub. Seriously, that thing is a piece of shit.
  7. I don't see any reason why there couldn't have been an offline mode where all the items you find are limited to said mode. If offline and online mode were both mutually exclusive, I would have accepted that.
  8. Well I've played the game for several hours over the course of a few days, so here are some thoughts from the perspective of someone who never played the old Diablos. I like Diablo III. Obviously since I never played Diablo II that means I have no rose-tinted glasses on. If I'm supposedly missing out on something because of what Blizzard did with the mechanics of the third game, I can't really say I notice. I don't care all that much about distributing attribute points, and while the lack of skill trees is a bit odd the rune system works well enough for what it is. I haven't really played many other games in this genre before because it never really interested me. I tried the first Torchlight a while back and quickly got bored with it, though the lack of multiplayer in that game probably had a lot to do with it. I imagine that if I was playing Diablo III by myself instead of with friends it wouldn't be nearly as much fun. Combat in dungeon crawlers is about as simple as it gets, and when I'm not playing socially I quickly become very aware of just how repetitive it is. HOWEVER, that's still no reason to have always-online DRM. Just because I prefer to play with friends doesn't mean I'd NEVER want to play it by myself if I were to lose my internet connection for an extended period of time for whatever reason. I really don't care what Blizzard's excuse is, because it's inexcusable. Even if my connection never goes out, that still won't do me a damn bit of good when the servers get flooded with players as they inevitably did on launch day. Shipping this game with no offline single-player option of any kind was stupid at best and insulting at worst. Moving on, the music (so far) is totally forgettable, but that's not really such a big deal to me. Games like this are rarely known for their soundtracks. The writing is absolutely atrocious, but I can still enjoy it in that schlocky B-movie kind of way so that doesn't really bother me either. The graphics are okay. They're not great, they're not terrible. The whole game is spent zoomed out in an isometric view anyway so fuck it. I don't play this for the music or story or graphics. I play it for the gameplay, and when it comes together just right it's a lot of fun. I guess I just don't see what all these Blizzard fanboys are whining about. Except the DRM, of course. That part IS bullshit.
  9. Wallpapers by PHNky-Town. I know that Pinkie is missing but he just hasn't drawn her.
  10. I just watched Drive on netflix. It starts out slow but then out of nowhere it picks up and doesn't stop until the end.
  11. You beat it already? God damn. Unrelated, but it amused me.
  12. Well the Diablo servers are fucked so I guess I'll just play offline singlepla---OH WAIT.

  14. Well I got a guest pass from a friend so I guess I'll be trying this game out. I'm one of the few people who never played the first two games as a kid so this entire franchise is going to be new territory for me.
  15. The next generation is probably going to put more emphasis on free to play games, since a lot of them are working so well on the pc. I wouldn't be entirely against the idea, although I wouldn't want them to get carried away either. For every Super Monday Night Combat or League of Legends there's ten Farmvilles and Smurf Villages.
  16. If anything, we need MORE public transportation over here. I don't exactly enjoy having to pay 3.80 per gallon of gas.
  17. I liked Reboot, but that was more a stylistic choice I'd say. Nowadays everyone just uses it because it's cheaper.
  18. If that care bears show wasn't CGI, I might actually watch an episode or two just to see if it would surprise me. But it is. And I....fucking...hate....CGI shows.
  19. I haven't read it myself, but I heard there was some kind of rule 34 fanfiction involving Sokka and the moon. Try and wrap your head around that.

  21. Has anyone tried running games off an external hard drive? I'm running out of space but I'd rather not have to keep juggling game installations if there's a better way.

      I'm using a laptop so it's a little complicated.

I've ran some games on an external, and it's been fine, but that's only been very light games.

That's via USB 2.0. Not 3.0 or eSATA.
