For me, whether I get a console game or a PC version of the same game comes down to a few factors. 1) Is this a game I'll keep forever or do I want to sell it back later? 2) What genre is the game? Does it play better with a controller or a mouse and keyboard? 3) Does either version have exclusive content? 4) Dedicated servers? Achievements? 5) Is the PC version just a console port? Because that's a huge red flag. 6) What kind of DRM is on the PC version? We're past the point where anyone can just say that any one platform is superior to the rest in every aspect without being a complete jackass.

He should be fine with the i5. That's what I use and I haven't really noticed a huge difference from the i7 on my desktop.

If I remember correctly, Warhawk had Sony based servers (blue ranked servers in the server list), listen servers, or people could use their PS3s as a dedicated server for others. I believe the game gave you a trophy for providing a dedicated server for a certain amount of time, and possibly some other in-game reward to serve as an incentive. I don't remember exactly. I liked the concept, though, and I hope it comes back in Starhawk.

My only advice is to get a bigger HDD. I went with 320 because I figured that would be enough for me, but I'm already almost halfway through it and I've only owned this thing for a few months. When did PC games become so goddamn huge? I only have seven or eight of my steam titles installed!

I used to love Warhawk so I'm pretty psyched for this. Anyone else watching this game?

I saw Thor. Pretty good, but the god damn projector cut out during the post credits scene and that was a huge disappointment.

A thought occurs to me. Has Sony apologized for this failure on their part even once? Oh sure, they didn't ask to be hacked, but their security failed their customers no matter how you slice it. I've seen words like "we regret" and "it is unfortunate", but I haven't seen anything put out by them that I would call an apology. I don't mean compensation in the terms of free content, although I would expect that much for at least the Plus subscribers. I just mean a public statement along the lines of "We're sorry this happened."

Well I mean the 2005 series in relation to the 1960s one.

Would I be missing out if I started watching this new series without having ever seen the older series first?

Under the Red Hood is probably the best DCAU movie they've ever done.

I didn't use my PSN password for my bank or credit card (I'm not an imbecile), but I did use it for things like Xbox Live and Steam. Clearly that's going to have to change.

I'm not saying the CONCEPT is worthless. It works in plenty of other fighters. But in MK, they are not enhanced enough to make it worth the cost. I would disagree with you on that point, but to each his own.

I got the ps3 one.

So I picked up Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat at the midnight launch because I was hanging out with a friend of mine who was in the area. Fortunately, my experience was much less of a hassle than Atomsk's. I showed up at 12 on the dot, waited about five to ten minutes in line, and then when I got in the guy immediately recognized me and handed me my two games rubber-banded together from a pile and that was it. Took me about five seconds in the store. Sometimes it can be a good thing to have a rapport with the clerks of a store you go to often.
