The class I've played through on Insanity has been soldier, and I gave him Jacob's shield...how does that compare to the fully upgraded shields of other classes? Bear in mind that I had on the armor upgrades which affect small percentages of the strength of the armor. My foray into non-soldierdom in 2 will probs be sentinel next. I've just really going about it slowly because the idea of not being able to whip out the weapon I feel like using at the moment is really, really aggravating.

I dunno I see it as a nuanced thing. I mean especially in today's times...before if you wanted to play to the patriotism you'd show America big n strong, now it seems the flavor of the decade to show us or highlight vulnerability (terrorists! look at how many americans they've killed! look at this footage of baby kittens crying!!!!), this seems like an extention of that as a means of stirring up that patriotism.

I'm not complaining over not having the 'full' feature but just over how you seem to think you need to warn us not to abuse it like it's not something a good deal of, if not most forums, have. Anyway let's see if the feature actually appears now... edit: I see it.

Watch some videos of the devs talking about the game. I believe their HQ is like stereotypical american suburbs, even. For the imagery and such.

Having a foreign country invade you is like 10000000% reason to go America fuck yeah. It's the entire reason you're fighting, to preserve America. Also I find it stupid that they're focusing so damn much on the pseudo politics/premise on the game to advertise it and make buzz when they've also said they're not intending to say a message or address actual politic in the game. Why not just advertise pew pew then I mean it's a shooter we're used to that superficial kind of thing.

Having the option to say something homosexual is not the same thing as making your character gay. It's true for anyone: when you're speaking to someone of the same sex, you have the option and the ability to say something homosexual to them. The option is there. You probably won't take it because you're heterosexual, though, but it doesn't mean you don't have the option or the ability to.

Cody is a shoto. A modified one, but a shoto. No, I don't care who people play. I'm working on "From C to Shining C" myself, the trophy for reaching C Rank with every character online, so I've played enough to see the good in just about every character. Anyway, the point is, there are all these cool in-universe powers, like hacking, combat drones, the ability to smash shit with your mind, why in god's name would you pick the only class that can't do ANY of that? Hey, I said scrubtalk and it's the same line of thought. You think it's stupid when someone says something like that to you when it applies to something you do but it's the same thing here that you're doing to me. I'll pick the class because I know I can do all that cool stuff with other characters and because I like the class. Just like you would pick cody because maybe you like shotos or something. Doesn't mean I can't be open to other classes you know, just like I'm going to assume you don't JUST play cody. Or shotos.
