  1. Wait, what? I don't know where you've been Trick-or-Treating, but I want in.
  2. Oh, don't worry about spoiling that, I already read up on it anyway, which is why I probably won't bother. Sounds pretty cool either way.
  3. Heh, I bought Burnout Paradise in spite of the demo.
  4. Interesting topic! I'd have to give it some thought, but off the top of my head, I don't think a demo has convinced me to buy a game in a long time. In a few cases, I've been steered away from a game after playing the demo but in many instances it's more of a 'buy it when it's cheaper' reaction.
  5. Finished S1 of Justified. Turned out pretty good. I liked how a lot of the earlier, seemingly unrelated elements began tying together in the last few episodes. Weird way to leave things hanging at the end of the season, though, but the last exchange really worked. Boyd Crowder is certainly an interesting character. Also, the final episode did go a bit too 'serious' (though not quite as bad as the pilot) for my liking, but I figure there was no way around that. Also, I could swear that Erica Tazel is barely there, despite being in the cast credits at the beginning.
  6. Ah, would've guessed that but the art style looked different. Guess there's a reason for that. Anyway, thanks, and carry on!
  7. Seriously, though, can someone explain the original post? I imagine it's a joke I'm missing.
  8. Spec Ops: The Line. Overall, it was pretty good. The multi-tiered turret bit was a particular highlight, I felt, and a lot of the combat was enjoyable and certainly about moving around the battlefield cleverly. Some of the firefights towards the end were a bit ridiculous even on normal difficulty but I soldiered through (LOL!). The story's certainly something to mull over but initially it doesn't feel quite like everything clicked. Really love the changing main menu though, that's a neat little touch.
  9. Hmm, I suppose I should be a bit fussier...
  10. Huh, I found it fairly amusing. Though, I prefer Bro Team's usual content.
  11. Hmm, interesting. Other people have said to max pistols and stealth so you can concentrate more on the story. We shall see...
  12. Alpha Protocol. Got it for £2 from GMG. Swrrt!
  13. LEGO Batman 2 Had been near the end for quite some time, but it was too much fun being Superman and flying around Gotham (with the Superman theme playing). Possibly my favourite of the LEGO games I've played (the first Batman one being the best before that), though I'm yet to give the LOTR ones a try. I may have to try and 100% this but there is a lot to do, and it's all scattered around the city with a terrible interface for finding bits you've missed (think inFAMOUS 'scanning'...but you have to open a couple of menus to get to it and figure it out from there before going back in-game).

  15. Rango. I really liked the mix of 'ugly' animation with a lot of visual humour and a whole load of references (though, sadly, not all shot-for-shot ones). It sort of feels like a PG Tarantino film, really. I quite enjoyed spotting the little nods to past Depp films or the more obvious stuff like Chinatown and Apocalypse Now. I think W&S would get a kick out of the voice for The Spirit of the West. Since it's not actually Clint Eastwood, it's very appropriate, I might say.
  16. And a working console on which to play it, obviously. This got scratched and ruined when my sister tripped over a controller wire and yanked the console off its little perch. Was one of the better kart racing games along with Muppets Racemania (Mario Kart sucks!).
  17. LEGO: Lord of the Rings. Thanks to Dean's Savy Gamer retweet! Probably won't get to it right away though, since I still have LEGO Batman 2 anyway, but the price was pretty good.
