Slightly different to yours but I reckon a sort of apocalyspe type game would be really cool. With weird AI and general silliness like yours. I was inspired by this Imagine an online game where, instead of trying to kill each other, you're trying to survive as long as you can while chaos erupts all around. You could throw all sorts of crazy stuff in, just for the hell of it. I reckon that would be great fun.

As a musician, I quite liked the GH Tunes/GH Mix thing they introduced in World Tour. Sure, it was pretty much a MIDI composer in many ways, but it had a lot of potential and was quite fun to use once you got the hang of it. I think the guys behind it actually did a really good job considering what they were working with. My own creations: If they focused on that side of things for a small title, there might be something there; because that's certainly not an area that Harmonix are covering.

Lol. My bookmark led me to Gizmodo instead, clicked the Kotaku header...reloads Gizmodo. Took a good few clicks before it decided to load Kotaku. Can't say I've noticed a speed difference, if anything it is faster. Except it's incredibly unstable at the moment and doesn't load a lot of things properly.

Can't say I have that problem, personally. But then I do have a fairly fast connection. It does fail to load pages as well as comments sometimes though.

The commenter features are slowly coming back/ceasing to be buggy. I can now promote people, although I can't heart people or load comments (or have them appear in your profile feed) 100% of the time. Notifications should be on their way too.

I'm looking forward to this. The new trailer is good except when it started looking like RDR in some aspects (the fact that they're identikit 'gameplay series' trailers doesn't help). It certainly looks like what I wanted Heavy Rain to skew more towards and hopefully there's not too much lame combat or that it holds some significance. It will be cool if you can mess up cases, but we'll see how the 'narrative' functions.

Why is 'mult-plat titles' in the middle of that list, Dean? A-thank you very much B)

PC gaming is alive and kicking. My graphics card is not doing so hot...well, actually it's doing quite hot. Too hot.

I like the toggle button for over the shoulder view. Sometimes the cover just doesn't work over one shoulder, so you need to switch to the other to get a view of whats going on / aiming. having to go into the menu and change that just because of the pillar / box / whatever you are hiding behind would get cumbersome and tiresome. That's why I said 'include it in a menu' and 'don't just make it a toggle'. Obviously, you'd have both but having options for a default would probably please some people.

That looks terrible. I did not like the way the IGN video they used for MvC3 looked either. Switched to HD and it only shows a small part of the actual screen. Dean, I'd imagine the t-shirt ad is for Mighty Fine.

It's odd to be building a third-person game without having played some notable ones. Wouldn't it be wiser to start looking at examples and the positive side of things and what you want to achieve, rather than a million possible problems? New problems will always present themselves. Since he's worked on God of War, he has written a fair bit about related stuff and, considering you want to do hack 'n' slash, I feel it would be useful.
