This highlights a lot of the little niggles I had. Definitely felt like a film that had certain development troubles with loose bits here and there that never really gel. If Edgar Wright were directing, I'm sure all the pieces (like the weird rabbit and such) would've connected.

This popped into my head for some reason today. Such a lovely opening.

Heh, I had that same thing happen where I joined as the boss died and got 'complete a strike without dying' plus 'kill whoever it was'. It was the Mars strike as well, so saved me a lot of hassle.

Thinking about it, while it's not bad at all, Ant-Man doesn't rank that high in the MCU for me... 1. The Avengers 2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier 3. Avengers: Age of Ultron 4. Guardians of the Galaxy 5. Thor: The Dark World 6. Iron Man 7. Thor 8. Iron Man 3 9. Captain America 10. Ant-Man 11. Iron Man 2 Still (and probably will forever remain) unseen: The Incredible Hulk.

Doesn't seem to be up for some people on EU PSN (me, for example). Not that I've touched it in a while; decided it'd be better to get Arkham Knight squared away for the "true" ending. Just 180+ Riddles to solve/find...

Who the hell wants to use a wired gamepad in this day and age? Get out of here, gramps!

Everyone I know has had to buy a second PS4 controller to use while the other charges.

Ant-Man. Funny and fun. I don't have any real complaints (just a few niggles like Ethan) but it never really "soars" at any point. That might just be the consequence of being a more light-hearted heist film and the fact that nearly all the actual drama is resolved early on. I like how it ties into the MCU, and that post-credits scene is interesting (once you figure out the thing you couldn't quite hear them say was "the accords").

If you're talking about on the garage screen, it probably means you've unlocked decals for those models (unlike all other cosmetic items, each vehicle has its own decal set rather than stars, stripes, etc. carrying over to every one) but haven't selected and looked at them yet

I had my suspicions, but if you mention Cammy, you mean serious business.

See, I could've sworn the Road Hog doesn't accelerate quite as fast or jump quite as high and the Paladin had a touch of "oversteer" but I guess there could be other factors when it gets chaotic.
-
What vehicle is everyone using? At first, I didn't think there were differences, but definitely the case. I used to only get along with the Road Hog, but it always struggles to rush kick-off (which can cause problems) so I started giving Breakout a go and have been doing alright. I like the look of stuff like Paladin, but never really got on with the steering, I think. I will keep experimenting though.

But the film is set in '83. Take a look at Jean Grey and Jubilee in some extra photos here. Is Magneto wearing some armour from Destiny? (Okay, his actually looks kinda cool to me). Apocalypse has totally been playing Trials of Osiris. These photos don't give me much confidence because Singer sucks at capturing time periods anyway, plus it seems like another quick blockbuster grab (where DoFP was half about "we have all this returning cast, they do fuck all"). Marvel has actually done everyone else making superhero films a favour by giving everyone the impression they know what the fuck they're doing. No doubt this one will still feature some lazy gags or references to the original films or comics.

I may or may not have stayed up until 1:30, playing Rocket League. I fell into the vicious cycle of not wanting to go out on a loss, so kept playing, wound up with a really well-matched game skill-wise, so we did a few rematches until some quit and then I lost and so on... "It's only another five minutes, give or take..." Had this great 12 goal game yesterday (8-4), in which I scored a hat-trick as well as getting not only a save but an "epic save" (raced the whole length of the pitch to clear a wandering ball). The really tense overtime matches we had were awesome, too.

I've just played a few exhibition matches with pro-difficulty bots and loved it. Had a really close first game, where the clincher was scored right in the last second in an agonising "from kick-off" bounce off the roof. Lost the second game because it seemed like one of the bots wanted to score an own goal... Third game was another 3-2 victory, but with all three goals early on. Teammate bot totally sabotaged my long, slowly bouncing in goal by knocking it into the ceiling at the last second! Great fun though. I think I just need to master switching between ball cam and free, so I'm not constantly facing the wrong way after a clash.

Good point. Could be that it's limited to those two race tracks mentioned.
-
How had I not heard of this until you guys started mentioning it? Looks awesome. Another plus side, is that our "four man Destiny fireteam" can actually play a game together now.

This actually looks pretty good.

OMG I WANT '89 BATMAN AND BATMOBILE http://www.superherohype.com/news/347549-new-batman-arkham-knight-skins

Some collected thoughts. Batman v. Superman would've made sense as, like, an 'end of an era' film with a bunch of history behind it, which seemed how the comic was. Using it as a springboard for a whole Justice League thing after the tepid Man of Steel seems weird. Bale would actually work as Batman because he'd be coming out of retirement (and hiding) reluctantly, but I don't think it really fits the style or tone either. I'm sure an interesting take could be found, but I'd rather the Nolan trilogy stand as its own thing. As for Suicide Squad, yeah, it looks lame. Also, the Joker "reveal" is crap. At least give him a good line, not some generic crap any goon would say.

Oh, man, there's nothing quite like executing the perfect assault on a militia checkpoint. You find a good vantage point, you take note of the two sentry cannon and the five armed guys. The plan has already formed. You use the first disruptor charge to sabotage one of the sentry guns, then you neutralise the weapons of the three guys farthest away. You get into position and blind the other sentry gun with a hacking device before lining up a glide attack on one of the guys with an active gun. As you soar towards your target, you knock down the other live gunner with a batarang. The first guy goes down in one while the sentry gun attempts to shoot you and instead explodes. The other guys are too busy trying to figure out why their guns won't fire as you finish off the second guy, who's still reeling from the projectile. By the time the remaining three decide to engage in fisticuffs, it's already too late. That done, you crush the commander's controls and call in the batmobile to take out the remaining drone gun. God, I love this game.
