excellent news.

i made the mistake of playing South Park when my son was awake once, now hes actually brought me the case a few times like its a dvd he wants to watch. Luckily he doesn't sit still enough to really watch it. so I took a break a few days, playing when he's asleep or not at home.

went to a comicon here in Kansas City: Jewel Staite's autograph (that we are mailing to my SIL who is stationed in NY), filled out CAH card signed by Wil Wheaton, baby Deadpool print signed by Skottie Young, She Ra and War Machine Pop! figures, Deadpool belt printed (?) T-Shirt.

Diablo III. Again I say: Patch 2.0 is what the game should have been at launch, besides the always on requirement.

same situation, being developed for both gens holds it back, I'm guessing.

oh hey I somehow missed this thread when I was looking for it the other day. Just in case anyone missed it on any of the sites that posted it:

I dropped off this game because of frustrations with the loot system and the apparent reliance on the AH to gear yourself properly (I never could find anything at or heaven forbid, above, my level, always 4 or more levels lower) leading into CONSTANT DEATH for my Monk in the later difficulties. With Patch 2.0whatever, Loot 2.0, and the promotion of 50% bonus xp I decided to give it another go. I'm glad I did. The former difficulties are gone, giving a more traditional Normal, Hard, Expert, Torment tiered system that you can change on the fly (in private games) and have level requirements (at least on Torment, which requires level 60). Each step above Normal come with XP boosts and other benefits. I started out on Expert with my level 55, and ended up lowering all the the way to Normal to get my bearings and some decent loot. Oh yes, the loot. Loot 2.0 is a HUGE upgrade, makes a world of difference. They aren't just throwing things out there for you, but you do find better and higher level gear much easier than before. I'm guessing its much more like the console version, since the Auction Houses don't exist on consoles, and reviews stated that the loot system was much better. While I still wish they'd get rid of the Always Online requirement (I haven't read if Loot 2.0 still manages loot drops server side, but I'm guessing so), I must say this is a huge improvement, almost makes Diablo 3 a whole new experience, certainly fixes a lot of the issues I had with the game. Now I'll have to get Reaper of Souls, and probably rethink purchasing the PS4's Ultimate Evil Edition.

totally read that in Mr. Slave's voice. Anyway-- Playing the game on 360, only ran into a few bugs causing me to either dashboard out of the game and back in (one time) I think because I walked by, not into an area that attempted to trigger a cutscene I technically wasn't ready for, or reboot my 360 (one time). Nothing utterly devastating or experience ruining so far, unlike Kotaku's review. I just finished night 2, and um, that certainly was something. I have noticed, like others, the classes don't seem to really matter squat, just give you different powers with your PP.It is nice looking for ways to use the environment to take care of enemies for you, especially in areas (read: any) where another battle can be tedious.

yay PS4/Xbone/PC only!
