I've never bothered with a soundcard, on board sound has suited me fine, and most on boards will support at least 5.1 nowadays. Just find your budget, do some research, look up reviews, that sort of thing. Ha, the only reason my entertainment center is neat and organized right now is that we just bought that stand and got it set up in the last week or so. I really love it, I'll have to get better pictures now that my camera's battery is charged. I haven't put a picture of where my computer is, because well, right now its a mess.

Broken screens, laggy unresponsive touch screens, constant freezing. Before that, high school ruined macs for me. Our computer lab was mostly iMacs and a few G4s donated to us by an alum. We learned very fast to save often consistently; either the system or the network as a whole would crash / freeze constantly, and without warning.

You'll still be able to control that, but the Inventory system is completely locked in the demo. I thought you don't get to change or control your party's armor and weapons and such? I saw the inventory was locked in the demo, so I didn't even bother to look at a teammates. Yeah - a good one, too. ATI Radeon 5870. I could play it with DX11 up through the first battle before the actual game starts, but once you clicked 'Start Game' or whatever under Character Creation, it would freeze. Tried it twice to make sure it wasn't just a fluke and actually was an issue with DX11. It worked only once I switched it to DX9. Regardless, it'll be fine in the real game no doubt. yea I'm finding on steam forums that bioware has said that dx11 is locked out due to bugs that are supposedly fixed in the final version. One guy was complaining about 8 fps in dx11, but 100+ in dx9 mode. Safe to say, DX11 is not a good option for the demo.

Origins always ran super fine for me, even before I upgrade my gpu. Really there's no reason to be having the glitches and stuttering framerate. Hopefully that all gets resolved before release. I was running it at DX11 High, Very high is locked out due to the disabled DX11 bits, 8x AA the disabled dx11 bits are probably the cause of the glitches though, I might do my Rogue playthrough in DX9 mode.
