I bought up from the Limited to Legendary edition of Halo 3 when newegg started selling it for like, $15 or whatever, then I sold my limted copy.

Do people still say that? I had to sit there for a few seconds trying to figure out wtf you meant before realizing you were referring to the time. All I could think of was the Borg. When I worked at CC, the store manager was from Boston. I remember having to go to court (yay shoplifters) and while waiting he said something about "quahtah of 4" or something, and when he saw the "wtf you say, east coast?" look on my face he had to explain to me what he meant. Must be a Masshole thing. I wish I was a Masshole.

A smattering of whatever comes to mind. Right now with the new gpu, I've been focusing on pc games the past few days. I just tried Metro 2033 to see how well I can run it. DX11 mode, Ultra high, 1680x1050 (that's my monitors native), it runs.. p erratically, hovering around 25-35 fps during typical gameplay, with a few times it shoots up to 50+ (mainly cutscenes). I need to finish Epic Mickey too, hopefully I'll get some time this weekend.

The images and stuff I've seen are like they are based off WWII-era planes. Which I'm a huge fan of already. I want to get it at some point. I still need to order parts 2 and 3 of FMA:Brotherhood. and as far as anime I've watched, I've been wanting to rewatch He Is My Master again for some stupid reason. I wonder if I still have those...

I got off work at 11 pm, finished up an online birthing class thing with the wife. She went to bed. I'm installing / "demoing" Metro 2033 to see how it runs with the new gpu / how I like it.

Is this show that good? I've been tempted. Although I have really odd / easily entertained tastes in anime, so its probably a stupid question.

Not surprising. Have you ever been to a Gamestop? Everbody there is either a fuckwit or a teenager. And teenagers are, by definition, fuckwits, so I rest my case.

I used to work at Gamestop and I was neither a teenager or a fuckwit. I was just another minimum wage slave trying to reconcile a love of gaming with the will of a faceless company struggling to stay afloat. GS is made up of individuals -- some good, some fuckwit. Don't judge them all at once.

eh, she was new. I'll cut her some slack. I wanted to pay on existing preorders, I think she re-preordered the game for me.. my rewards card shows 2 copies of each game in my preorders.

lol thanks guys. As for the leashes thing, we actually got one of those animal backpack things with the tail being like a leash as a gift at our shower. I'm not sure that I'll ever use it; I know some of my in laws used them on my nieces and nephews, and the funny thing is, the kids actually like them. It's their cat, tiger, monkey, whatever. But their parents didn't use them to drag them by. The kids will insist on walking when they get to a store, then (especially my nephew) will get sidetracked and try to take off; but when the try to, its like it reminds them to stay put. It's really strange. Sometimes they will start crying and making a fit about wanting to go "over there" or whatever, then they just get put in the cart and let to cry it out. The leashes that look like just plain dog leashes are really annoying, and those are typically owned by the parents that like to drag their kids around on them from what I've experienced too.

Wow, I log on after spending a couple of hours decorating the room for our kid and find this thread? Really I'm going to be a great dad. I have all my influences down: with a dash of no, but seriously, this kid thing has me all kinds of excited and worried and scared as fuck all at once. I really don't know what I'm doing. I really don't want to get into my upbringing, it could have been a lot worse, but its a large reason behind why I don't drink very much or often. I'm just hoping I can do well by my offspring.

well, I actually played at those settings, and I got about a constant 30-40 fps on the demo. It sure looks pretty though. One thing is for sure.. I have GOT to get a new mouse soon. no scrollwheel is killing me. JC2 tells me the back and forward buttons on my mouse already have bindings, yet I can't seem to find what they do.. I was going to change them to next weapon and previous weapon in the meanwhile.

playing with this thing is fun. Waiting for my code for 3dMark 11 to come in to bench it with that, but here's benchmarking from the just cause 2 demo. I'm lacking the power in ram and cpu that you have Yante. One of these in your system and it'd be a beast.
